It isn't easy sometimes to take the unpopular route, especially when the consequences could be quite severe. We've seen people in this country subjected to hate and even violence just because they have a different opinion on something, and it does go both ways. Although I have to say the hate and violence seems to come a lot more from the Left than it does from the Right.
