Jude 1 of The Bible's NT vs Gays: A Tutorial On Baking Cakes & Adoption

That's funny. You show a quote from me with clear paragraph breaks and then say "I think you really need to use paragraph breaks." There are 8 paragraph breaks in that post.
No, there are not. At least for webpages.

You need white space if you want your material read.

Like I did here.

Well

we've

gotten

onto

your

strawman

at

least.

(let me know if you have any comments on Romans 1 leading to Jude 1. I'll repost here again)< Too difficult for you to read?.....

:lmao:

Romans 1:

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
[26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
[29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31] Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

******

The last line Romans 1: 32 is the clincher there that is a natural bridge into Jude 1's warnings. "not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them". What that means is that even if a person isn't burning with lust for the same gender they are, if they passively assent to that behavior, they are as "worthy of death" as those actually doing homosexuality. This is where the problem is for Christian bakers etc. What way could you more formally assent to homosexuality than to participate in its hijacking of marriage, the ultimate social iconic rite of passage? (And God's own sacred man/woman covenant)

Jude 1 further expounds on "worthy of death" in that it is death of the soul. All will die. That can't be a warning. Especially in days when people dropped like flies just from drinking water problems, childbirth and insect bites. What was the real fear was and is eternal soul death.

Now go back and read Jude 1 in the OP.

So do you have any comments about Romans 1 leading to Jude 1 or not?

The words are faith based. .

Ah 'faith based'

So like most of your posts- from the voices in your head.
No, idiot. YOU yourself quoted them from the Bible here. And they're in the OP.

I have never quoted the voices in your head.

But if you want to quote from the Bible- show us that quote that condemns gay marriage. Jude 1- Romans- I don't care which one.
The Bible condemns gays, period. So does the koran and the Old Testament, ie, muslims and Jews.

The Bible...and the Old Testament.....lol.......my Bible includes the Old Testament.

Feel free to give us those quotes that condemn two women having sex.

Go for it.

Romans 1 is in the NEW TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST. The New Testament is the witness of Jesus' teachings. Verses 18-32 in my post above follow the ones below.
Romans 1, New Living Translation (NLT) | Chapter 1 | The Bible App | Bible.com

Romans 1:
1This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News. 2God promised this Good News long ago through his prophets in the holy Scriptures. 3The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line, 4and he was shown to be1:4a Or and was designated. the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.1:4b Or by the Spirit of holiness; or in the new realm of the Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. 5Through Christ, God has given us the privilege1:5 Or the grace. and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.

You mad the Jews don't observe the New Testament? lol

None of the world's major religions other than atheism supports homos. Get over it.

You are right....we can't force people to choose....they need to choose for themselves.....just like muslim cab drivers needed to choose for themselves whether to no longer be a cab driver or be willing to give people a ride even if they have alcohol or pets.

So you think gays can force Christians to eternal soul death by defying Romans 1 & Jude 1 of the NT. We'll see. Hobby Lobby.

Jesus never said a word about gays. you're blaspheming by using the NT to spread hate.

Bible Gateway passage: Jude - King James Version

Jude 1

1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

In short, it is a mortal sin for a Christian to enable the spread of homosexuality within a culture. But it is not a sin to reach out to the homosexual individual "making a difference".

Baking:

Scenario 1: A gay couple walks into a bakery and wants a cake "for a party". The Christian baker says "would you like chocolate or vanilla icing? The Christian serves all individual sinners. This would apply to scones, cookies, mints, bread, muffins and the like.

Scenario 2: A gay couple walks into a bakery and wants a cake (or scones, cookies, mints, bread, muffins and the like) for their "wedding". The Christian baker says "no, I would face eternal damnation".

The problem for the Christian in #2 is that s/he would be enabling the spread of homosexuality as a CULTURE throughout the mainstream via the vehicle of marriage (or adoption or education...any social vehicle like that which spreads ideas "as good").

Adoption:

Whereas the cake scenario is in the religious arena, adoption is in both the religious and the legal arena. Not only would a Christian person be forbidden from letting an orphan child into such abomination to be instructed and raised up in the sinning culture, but any person, Christian or not, must not allow a child to be let into a contract which banishes said child for life from either a mother or father. Romans 1:32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

A sign of a depraved mind. They get great pleasure from watching others fall and in fact go out of their way to promote vile perversions.

you can believe what you want. you have that right. but your NT is not my bible.

I repeat what I said before. Jesus never said a word about gays. he did, however, say a lot about being accepting and caring for the poor, which I don't see very many of the so-called christians on this board doing. and something written long after Jesus' death isn't exactly compelling argument.

The point isn't if the New Testament Romans 1 & Jude 1 are YOUR bible. It's if they are the Christian bakers' Bible.

Here, let's read Romans 1 again of the NT which is a direct accounting of Jesus' teachings:

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Romans 1 of course is not a direct account of anything Jesus is supposed to have said- it is supposedly what Paul said- Paul who never met Jesus.

And note- not once does it mention homosexuals, adoption or baking a cake.

And you really think that Christians are forbidden to have pleasure?

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

So Romans 1:32 addresses you and your depraved mind?

Romans 13 tells Christians to follow the law.

Why won't Christians obey the New Testament?

What do you care what Christians do?

As long as faux Christians quote the New Testament as an excuse for their bigotry- I will gladly quote the New Testament and remind you that Paul explicitly told you Christians to obey the law- or face the consequences of disobeying God.
