Jude 1 of The Bible's NT vs Gays: A Tutorial On Baking Cakes & Adoption

Again, follow the instructions in post #138.

Right after you actually read the passages in question and show us where gay marriage is mentioned....and the direct citations attributed to Jesus.

You have your instructions. You can't follow them....as we both know that no such citations exist. You imagined both.

You lose again.

The passage of Jude 1 discusses ANY promotion of homosexuality throughout ANY culture such as Sodom. What other icon/vehicle of that promotion would you hold higher than marriage?

The passage of Jude 1 discusses ANY promotion of homosexuality throughout ANY culture such as Sodom. What other icon/vehicle of that promotion would you hold higher than marriage?

There is no mention of same sex marriages. And no mention citation attributed to Jesus.

You imagined both.

Jude 1 doesn't mention homosexuality.

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

I notice you did not answer Skylar. What vehicle for inserting a depraved behavior into mainstream acceptance could be greater than marriage?

Answer: none. Now take that fact & reread Jude 1.

I'm still waiting for you to show us any of gay marriage or any citation attributed to Jesus in Jude 1. Nothing you've posted has either.

Try again. I won't hold my breath.

The words are faith based. Not case law idiot. What social vehicle would you name as more potent than marriage for normalizing sodomy into the mainstream? Now read the OP again.

So I've said this before at various places but here it is again. My view of Jude 1's warning against enabling the spread of sodomy "as normal" using iconic vehicles like marriage, education & adoption is that it ruins the matrix of God's Test. If you accept, as Christians and many other faiths do, that God/Allah/Whatever Name has placed us here to test our spiritual mettle against the temptations of physical incarnation, then it makes sense. God being God, surely has long understood and realized that these monkey bodies we inhabit are prone to all types of vices and temptations from their programming.

I've put forward the analogy that the body is like the hard drive; set up with very specific and finite pathways and processing parts. The personality are like the software programs one loads slowly over time onto the basic running system. (You've met people already overloaded by bunches of unused old programs clogging up the free space at a young age, and those that have been better at removing and doing disc cleanup regularly). The spirit is the actual being sitting at the computer desk working the system with it's limitations and such. Those better at system operating will be less tempted to load dangerous and vulnerable software for regular use on their system. Those who are poor with this skill will let in any program whatsoever; click on links at their whim without any anti-virus (religious) firewall.

I think it's pretty obvious about who is writing the Malware. The old fallen angel himself.

So back to God's Test. If people are to have a shot at redemption, flexing their spiritual muscle over earthly temptations, it is essential that their system not be overrun with malware such to the point where any spiritual or good program has no free space to run. It's like with Sodom, not only was the software infected but the entire motherboard was rendered useless for any application that might salvage the system. If you raise generations of children to see a sin as part of their hard drive, as normal as can be within a matrix (given society's pressures), then those people have NO CHANCE at ever recognizing that which they must strive to resist and clean up. This is why Sodom and civilizations like Sodom pisses God off so heatedly. It fucks with His Great Plan. Remember, that's just my humble opinion. But it fits logic so it's appealing to me. And these lessons go on over many, many lifetimes.

OK, accept that across the world we have varying matrices which supply different unique lessons for the spirits that need those lessons. Let's say that in the Muslim cultures perhaps those souls were too wild the last time around (oh yeah, I have reasons to believe also that the Hindus are right). Let's say their lesson is in curbing their constant impulses and this time around they need a rigorous discipline. But the Muslim should see that also the permissiveness of the American culture is like graduate school for the soul. The tricky thing about these graduate-school cultures is that they can get so carried away with permissiveness that they become like Sodom, incorporating sin as normal and teaching it to kids that way. Big Problem. It's why America is perhaps so beloved by God but at the same time so precarious in His favor. Oddly, but in line with this theory, the founding fathers seemed to intuit all this, putting in place so many check-valves to see that morality could still hold the reins loosely through the fingers of the governed's power to vote. So many people having a say means that morality has a chance. But when you rip that right away from them, as what happened in Obergefell's judicial coup, you put the country literally in the hands of the devil and in direct peril.

Just a word here besides how ratifying gay marriage against the wishes of the 300 million (It's never been permitted in California for instance) by just five people was the final removal of the morality check-valve from America...Transgenderism has to piss off God more even than Sodom scenarios. Because the idea, if spread far enough, means that the very static but semi-fluid roles of man and woman in any given culture will be thoroughly eliminated by the idea that genders are not set and are completely changeable (they never will be, but the idea is enough to poison the matrix). So if you were a wife-beater in your last life, say, then being born a woman might scare the shit out of you. Still you must learn that lesson. If your fear (that carries over from purgatory *nods to the Catholics*...and I believe it does) learns that it has a handy escape route where others are forced to begin to treat you as a male that you are pretending to be, then you never learn the pain of what actual women suffer at the hands of men. And vice versa. See?

It's the fucking-with-the-matrix at these fundamental levels, these basement foundations of God's Plan's Structure that really explains the heated objections in Jude 1 and Romans 1. God need not explain to those who cannot see the analogy. But the analogy is there nevertheless.

Just some things to think about. Just a theory I have.

Bible Gateway passage: Jude - King James Version

Jude 1

1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

In short, it is a mortal sin for a Christian to enable the spread of homosexuality within a culture. But it is not a sin to reach out to the homosexual individual "making a difference".

Baking:

Scenario 1: A gay couple walks into a bakery and wants a cake "for a party". The Christian baker says "would you like chocolate or vanilla icing? The Christian serves all individual sinners. This would apply to scones, cookies, mints, bread, muffins and the like.

Scenario 2: A gay couple walks into a bakery and wants a cake (or scones, cookies, mints, bread, muffins and the like) for their "wedding". The Christian baker says "no, I would face eternal damnation".

The problem for the Christian in #2 is that s/he would be enabling the spread of homosexuality as a CULTURE throughout the mainstream via the vehicle of marriage (or adoption or education...any social vehicle like that which spreads ideas "as good").

Adoption:

Whereas the cake scenario is in the religious arena, adoption is in both the religious and the legal arena. Not only would a Christian person be forbidden from letting an orphan child into such abomination to be instructed and raised up in the sinning culture, but any person, Christian or not, must not allow a child to be let into a contract which banishes said child for life from either a mother or father. For further information, read here: The Gay Marriage vs Children's Rights Impending Legal-Collision Looms Closer

Just pointing out again- nothing there that tells any Christian to not bake a cake for any homosexual.

But the New Testament explicitly tells all Christians to follow the law
Romans 13New International Version (NIV)

Submission to Governing Authorities
13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

You're a troll. The perfect example of a troll and have been called out as such a number of times.

LOL- when a troll calls someone else a troll it just shows how vacuous your arguments are.

Romans 13 tells Christians to follow the law- why do you want Christians to sin?

So I've said this before at various places but here it is again. My view of Jude 1's

My take on Romans 13 is that Christians should follow the law- and since nowhere in the Bible are bakers told not to sell cakes to homosexuals- why do you want Christians to sin?
Romans 13New International Version (NIV)
Submission to Governing Authorities

Romans 1:

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
[26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
[29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31] Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

******

The last line Romans 1: 32 is the clincher there that is a natural bridge into Jude 1's warnings. "not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them". What that means is that even if a person isn't burning with lust for the same gender they are, if they passively assent to that behavior, they are as "worthy of death" as those actually doing homosexuality. This is where the problem is for Christian bakers etc. What way could you more formally assent to homosexuality than to participate in its hijacking of marriage, the ultimate social iconic rite of passage? (And God's own sacred man/woman covenant)

Jude 1 further expounds on "worthy of death" in that it is death of the soul. All will die. That can't be a warning. Especially in days when people dropped like flies just from drinking water problems, childbirth and insect bites. What was the real fear was and is eternal soul death.

Now go back and read Jude 1 in the OP.

The words are faith based. .

Ah 'faith based'

So like most of your posts- from the voices in your head.
No, idiot. YOU yourself quoted them from the Bible here. And they're in the OP.

I have never quoted the voices in your head.

But if you want to quote from the Bible- show us that quote that condemns gay marriage. Jude 1- Romans- I don't care which one.
The Bible condemns gays, period. So does the koran and the Old Testament, ie, muslims and Jews.

I THINK this is good stuff, but you REALLY need to use paragraph breaks.

That's funny. You show a quote from me with clear paragraph breaks and then say "I think you really need to use paragraph breaks." There are 8 paragraph breaks in that post.
