Jobs, jobs, jobs!

In spite of the efforts by Speaker Boehner to stifle our economic recovery by inaction and foolish rhetoric, in spite of the absurd remarks by Romney and Gingrich and Paul, in spite of 'leader' McConnell's efforts to prevent our democratically elected president to fully implement an agenda for recovery, our economy is on the mend.

See the jobs report linked below, a report from the private sector; sort of makes Romney look like a mendacious self serving liar given his remarks yesterday.

Simply Hired's report looks at nationwide hiring trends, too. “There is significant evidence that the overall job market is improving,” Godhwani says. “Job openings in the Simply Hired database grew 1.5% month-over-month and 9.2% year-over-year. Historically, employment is a lagging indicator to economic recovery. Simply Hired has seen an uptick in job openings for much of last year. Those job openings are now getting filled, and we see more favorable numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. We expect these trends to continue, with a better employment market in 2012.”

Simply Hired indexes job listings across the web from job boards, newspapers, company career sites and staffing agencies. The company uses a patent-pending de-duplication algorithm and actively monitors job quality to provide a real-time snapshot of all job openings available right now.

Inaction form Boehner? Are you high? Do you have any idea how many ideas Obama stuffed into his SOTU speech this year already passed the House and never came up for a vote in the Senate?

The President proposesto “Expand Mini-Offering Limits,” while the House has already acted on:

  • The Small Company Capital Formation Act, introduced by Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) – Passed the House November 2, 2011
The President proposes “Crowdfunding,” while theHouse has already acted on:
  • The Entrepreneur Access to Capital Act, introduced by Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) – Passed the House November 3, 2011
The President proposesto “Extend 100 Percent Depreciation,” while the House has already acted on:
  • The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, introduced by Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI) – Passed the House December 13, 2011
The President proposes “Relieving the backlog of immigrant visas,” while the House has already acted on:
  • The Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act, introduced by Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) – Passed the House November 29, 2011

  • The Reopening American Capital Markets to Emerging Growth Companies Act, introduced by Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-TN) – House Financial Services Committee held a hearing December 15, 2011
Further, the President is calling for “Cutting taxes for small businesses,” whileHouse Republicans’ Pledge To America already includes:

When did you become an rdean sock puppet?

Actually, the subject was "Number four suggests you have no background in economics, history or reality". You claimed making inflation illegal would create jobs, which shows no background in economics.

I think I've suggested before that you wait till college to approach these subjects. Inflation causes mal-investment and artificial employment, but then there is a crash and unemployment with a net loss of jobs because of the boom and bust cycle. And now even you know a little of Econ 101.

But yes, you can make inflation illegal within reason. Change the Fed's target from 2% inflation to 0% inflation and make it bind over the short run as well as the long run.

Yes you got one right and you showed some character! Please tell the liberal whose side you were originally on. Tell me, do you need to be a liberal all your life? You can see that as a conservative you never lose an economics argument to the dark forces. Isn't that the way you want to meet your maker in the end?

can the liberal pick even one above and offer a reason to explain why it would not create millions of jobs????

Sure they would. Low paying jobs. So the rich will get even richer and the poor will get even poorer?

actually with 50 million new jobs there would be tremendous upward pressure on wages. Does the liberal care to try again???

A million jobs flipping burgers at below the current minimum wage - which you hope to eliminate - which include no health care and no retirement would mean no discretionary income to buy products. Even someone with no background in economics, history or reality, such as yourself, might be able to foresee the future.

You can see it today in N. Korea, Myanmar and other Oligarchy's.

That's not Econ 101. That's a theory of the business cycle spouted by ideologically motivated fringe groups which hasn't managed any traction in mainstream economics on account of how retarded it is. Maybe it's Econ 101 at George Mason...

I'm a centrist, not a liberal. Though it speaks to your character that you summarily label anybody who disagrees with you "liberal".

Imagine where we could be if the republicnas hadnt placed party over country at every turn for Obamas entire term

Why, we'd be right where BO was in the Senate, to the left of Bernie Sanders, an open socialist? We'd have single payer communism, cap n trade and a full blown FDR depression just for starters.

You've gone too far with your radical agenda and this aint midterms.

actually freedom from big liberal government is not radical it is the basic philosophy of America. Why would you say radical unless you know nothing about America?

As apposed to a big fascist government that only benefits the top 1%? How rich are you?

Since Reagan you guys have been preaching small government. Of course you never delivered, but you at least talked a good game. You want to know why you are radical? Ok, I'll tell you.

The rich don't want to pay for SS. They say that's too much government. But 70plus % of us like SS. And the rich don't pay their fair share into SS. That will change soon.

Or Ron Paul thinks public schools are unconstitutional. Does Romney also feel this way? The rich don't care about public schools. How rich are you? Did you go to private school?

Or Paul Ryan wants to give seniors $6K a year and tell them to go find private healthcare that's as good as medicare. Good luck with that. Suckers.

Romney was against workers right to collective barganing. In Ohio, 70% voted for collective bargaining.

I could go on and on.

See how big the Wallstreet/99'ers turnout was? Dwarfed the radical tea party, who were nothing more than Republicans who couldn't defend the Bush record. So they pretended to be all about "smaller government". Meanwhile they are being backed by the Koch brother billionaires.

Your party has over reached, just like in 1948 against Harry Truman. You will see the same results. Polls show you its close? Remember the Newspaper read Dewey Defeats Truman? The voters did not reward the do nothing congress then and the GOP House's approval numbers are lower than Obama's. No one except die hard GOP are happy with the GOP.

An adequate definition of the Big 0's government of transition to a total dictatorship.

The TEA party is the party of small government. the other two parties are big government and big government lite.

I've never understood why there is a cap on the income level on which FICA is levied.

I happen to like the small d democracy of Public schools and dislike the Big C Communism of them. Why do the costs continue to rise while the outcomes continue to fall? Private schools are a better value as they cost less per student to operate and process students with better grades.

If the Seniors were turned loose to find the best deals in healthcare, the best deals would become better. No mystery there. The poorer deals would simply whither on the vine. The better deals would take hold and groups would form to take advantage of efficiencies.

Group insurance plans offered through companies have used this basic approach and the employees are suddenly asking what things cost and how the costs can be reduced.

If you have 535 people lining their pockets with bribes or 330 million people trying to reduce costs, which group do you think has a better chance of reducing the costs?

The problem with a liberal is that the Liberal believes in his heart that all people are stupid and impotent and that all people can only be saved from the evil ones by a bigger government.

The genius of Conservatism is that a Conservative trusts in the ability and the strength of the individual to effect positive change.

If you think people are empowered, intelligent, capable and energetic, you are a Conservative.

If you think that people are weak, stupid, incapable and lazy, you are a Liberal.
