The cuts in federal spending would lead to job losses. Oh, you are thinking ahead. In other words, if we fire the 1 million postal workers, UPS will hire 2 million people to do what it took 1 million federal workers?

Is that what you are saying? It will also cost a lot more to mail a letter or package.

Yes, lowering wages should lead to more jobs. So instead of a college grad making $50K a year, you think they should only make $30K a year and the company will hire more people? Great! NOT!

It's pretty clear our economy is moving forward and as clear that the House of Representatives has failed if it was their intent to stall the economy until the Republicans capture the White House.

Listening to Romney's stump speech it is also clear he is DeMinted or a liar (and I do know how to spell demented, for those who didn't get the play on the word); I believe he is both.

His record is that of a RINO, or at least in the simple minds of many self defined conservatives, yet he is kissing the collective ass of the far right, and some of them actually believe him. Sad but true. Romney pointing fingers at Obama is fine, but why must he lie sometimes and contradict himself later?

Romney and the others running for the GOP nomination don't care that our economy is in recovery, that the stock market has rebounded or that employment in the private sector is on the upswing. (had cities, counties and states not suffered so badly from the Bush Great Recession, the public sector job losses wouldn't be so great and the figures for unemployment would be lower). Romney continues to try - and continues to fail - to rewrite history and claim Obama has failed in his duties. In some interviews he claims the economy is worse under Obama, and in other interviews he flops and admits the economy is improving.

Since Gingrich, Santorum and Paul are each nuts in their own unique way, it's likely we'll see Romney as the nominee of the GOP. Seriously people, is he the best and the brightest the R's have?

The economy only has to add 53,000 jobs per month before the election for the Big 0 to avoid being the first President since Hoover to have a net loos of jobs during his Presidency.

The Reps don't need a very best and brightest to do better than a complete and utter failure.

The Big 0 is about the best campaigner in the history of the Republic. And the worst President.

We were bleeding those jobs overseas on Bush's watch. Your kind said it was ok and those people in manufacturing who don't have degrees just needed to go get some education. Remember?

And we'd be doing better if the House GOP didn't cut all those government jobs. They made those cuts knowing it would hurt Obama's numbers.

And what jobs did Bush create? Haloburton (at the tax payers expense) and McDonald jobs.

CEO's get 20 million not because of unions but because of competition. Capitalism improves jobs not unions. Unions destry jobs and in fact have off shored about 30 million of them!!

But yes, you can make inflation illegal within reason. Change the Fed's target from 2% inflation to 0% inflation and make it bind over the short run as well as the long run.
