Jobs, jobs, jobs!

In spite of the efforts by Speaker Boehner to stifle our economic recovery by inaction and foolish rhetoric, in spite of the absurd remarks by Romney and Gingrich and Paul, in spite of 'leader' McConnell's efforts to prevent our democratically elected president to fully implement an agenda for recovery, our economy is on the mend.

See the jobs report linked below, a report from the private sector; sort of makes Romney look like a mendacious self serving liar given his remarks yesterday.

The Top Hiring Employers in America's Biggest Cities - Yahoo! Finance

From the link:

Simply Hired's report looks at nationwide hiring trends, too. “There is significant evidence that the overall job market is improving,” Godhwani says. “Job openings in the Simply Hired database grew 1.5% month-over-month and 9.2% year-over-year. Historically, employment is a lagging indicator to economic recovery. Simply Hired has seen an uptick in job openings for much of last year. Those job openings are now getting filled, and we see more favorable numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. We expect these trends to continue, with a better employment market in 2012.”

Simply Hired indexes job listings across the web from job boards, newspapers, company career sites and staffing agencies. The company uses a patent-pending de-duplication algorithm and actively monitors job quality to provide a real-time snapshot of all job openings available right now.

The economy is improving.

It only needs to add 53,000 net jobs per month before the election for the Big 0 to avoid being the first president since Hoover to finish his Presidency with fewer Americans in jobs than when he started his Presidency.

The gap has started to close much more quickly in the last 4 months than in the previous 2 and half years.

Four of his Big Ideas are on Harry Ried's desk in the form of bills from the house that Ried will not bring to the Senate Floor.

Face it. You're backing a campaign genius who hasn't a clue how to do the job.

If he would resign, the stock market would gain 500 points.

Imagine where we could be if the republicnas hadnt placed party over country at every turn for Obamas entire term

And for the first two years of the Big 0's failure?

There have only been about 12 months of divided government. Before that, the proposals of the Big 0 had to be just conservative enough to attract 1 vote.

1.

He couldn't even do that.

Your guy is a joke.

Then why do you proffer completely failed economic ideas?

What failed value ideas?

Value for value?

A Penney's true weight of wheat for a Penney?

Free Market Value?

I don't see what you are getting at TM. Lay it out plain. Try not to stutter. I'm listening. You have my attention.

Deregulation and tax cuts and endless wars caused this mess.

No sane person cuts taxes during a war.

You people have BAD ideas and when they fail you double down on them

The Republicans had no input into the decision making of this administration for two years.

Why did the Big 0 campaign for all of the old tax cuts and add more to that? Why is he undermining the collections of the Social Security funds?

Face it. Your guy is a joke.

The house has passed multiple jobs bills but it's the senate that is killing the bills

And who controls the senate?????

Pick one. Any ONE senator can stall or kill legislation. Unless a party has 60 votes, the minority party or coaliition can prevent an up or down vote.

The house votes were all partisan and included riders, many unacceptable to the Democrats.

All the Senate needs to do is amend the bills and resolve it committee.

This becomes more difficult when the Senate leadership is so partisan that it will not even bring the bills to the floor for consideration.

And now back to the issue, Jobs.

It's pretty clear our economy is moving forward and as clear that the House of Representatives has failed if it was their intent to stall the economy until the Republicans capture the White House.

Listening to Romney's stump speech it is also clear he is DeMinted or a liar (and I do know how to spell demented, for those who didn't get the play on the word); I believe he is both.

His record is that of a RINO, or at least in the simple minds of many self defined conservatives, yet he is kissing the collective ass of the far right, and some of them actually believe him. Sad but true. Romney pointing fingers at Obama is fine, but why must he lie sometimes and contradict himself later?

Romney and the others running for the GOP nomination don't care that our economy is in recovery, that the stock market has rebounded or that employment in the private sector is on the upswing. (had cities, counties and states not suffered so badly from the Bush Great Recession, the public sector job losses wouldn't be so great and the figures for unemployment would be lower). Romney continues to try - and continues to fail - to rewrite history and claim Obama has failed in his duties. In some interviews he claims the economy is worse under Obama, and in other interviews he flops and admits the economy is improving.

Since Gingrich, Santorum and Paul are each nuts in their own unique way, it's likely we'll see Romney as the nominee of the GOP. Seriously people, is he the best and the brightest the R's have?

The Reps don't need a very best and brightest to do better than a complete and utter failure.

The Big 0 is about the best campaigner in the history of the Republic. And the worst President.

Harry is the disease.

So when a bill is unacceptable to Democrats they have a right to block it, but when it's unacceptable to Republicans they're being obstructionist, do I have that right, Kruschev?

Ah, the cowardly liar posts. No, as usual you're not correct. Right, ya, right on the edge with the rest of the idiot fringe.

Your both either ignorant of how the rules of the senate operate, or simply too partisan to be honest.

Now, back to the topic:

"As unemployment levels fitfully decline, plenty of recession-weary businesses remain hesitant to expand their payrolls—but a new report from the job aggregator SimplyHired.com offers good news for job seekers everywhere: There are big companies in every major metropolitan area hiring in heaps"

See the following link for more detail and jobs which may be poste right now in your metro area:

We were bleeding those jobs overseas on Bush's watch. Your kind said it was ok and those people in manufacturing who don't have degrees just needed to go get some education. Remember?

And we'd be doing better if the House GOP didn't cut all those government jobs. They made those cuts knowing it would hurt Obama's numbers.

And what jobs did Bush create? Haloburton (at the tax payers expense) and McDonald jobs.

So you didn't realize the importance of good paying manufacturing jobs? Us liberals tried to warn you.

Now you are crying about not enough jobs? Now that Obama's in charge you understand?

If it is up to the GOP and corporations, they'd send even more jobs overseas. Or in order to bring jobs back they'll want two things. No unions, so cheap labor, and tax breaks to the corporations.

That's the goal, or one of them. Corporations pay no taxes. The burdens on us. And lower wages. Good for the corporations, bad for us.

If it is up to the GOP and corporations, they'd send even more jobs overseas.

actually it is 100% liberals who are doing it:

1) Make unions illegal ( 10 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

2) make minimum wage illegal ( 5 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

3) end business taxation; especially tax incentives to off-shore jobs ( 5 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

4) make inflation illegal ( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

5) make Federal debt illegal( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

6) send illegal workers home(8 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

7) Pass Balanced Budget Amendment to Constitution( 3 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

8) cut pay of government workers in half( 4 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

9) Make health insurance competition legal( 6 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

10) end needless business regulations ( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

11) restrict Federal spending to 15% of GNP( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

12) support unlimited free trade( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

13) reduced unemployment compensation, welfare, food stamps, medicaid.( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

14) privatize education, social security ( 4 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

15) end payroll taxes ( 1 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

Since Democrats always oppose wisdom and common sense the only serious option is to make them illegal as the Constitution intended.

less made up than BO's when he said unemployment would never hit 8%???? Think!!

I'm sorry, do you think I'm defending Obama? Think again.

Either way, you still just pulled them out of your arse. Saying "oh but this guy did it" isn't an excuse. :cuckoo:
