2. I am sick of hearing this 'blame the rich' song. I am sick of politicians hanging hard working Americans out to dry and creating bullshit about 'rich people'. Hitler did that - and look what happened to the 'evil Jews'. And.... for the record.... that's not a swipe at Obama.... it is a statement about ALL our Politicians and their fucking constant 'blame the other guy' attititude. If Americans are stupid enough to fall for the shit that these lying bastards feed you, then we deserve to get crapped on by these people.

Nobody's "blaming" the rich.

But cutting taxes for billionaires will NOT solve the economy.

Basically both parties seem to think they can solve the problems without changing the fundamental problems that exist because BOTH PARTUES allowed these fundamentals to get so far out of line in the first place.

Its' time to stop juicing up SUPPLE SIDE (which is what giving more tax breaks for billionaires is), because our problems are really on the DEMAND side of the economic equasion.

The solution is to figure out how to get more money into the hands of the WORKING CLASSES.

And by working classes I really mean anybody who must WORK FOR A LIVING, not just factory workers.

It's THOSE people (everybody ranging from farm workers to brain surgeons) who are in financial difficulty that is causing this DEFLATIONARY depression we're in.

There are TWO things I would do to begin (because it's going to take a long time no matter what we do) to fix the problem.

1. FRix our stupid TRADE policies so that it makes sense to make stuff here in Amnerica

2. Change our progressive tax structure such that the progressive rate of taxation has about 50 different tax rates.

Right now a hard working small businessman who is making $250 K pays the same rate of taxes as a guy whose investments net him $250,000,000 a year.

That's just plain nuts!

If we truly had a sensible progresive system of taxation, the TOP rate wouldn't be way down at the income levels of the affluent WORKING CLASS. (at $250K per year)

The top rates would only effect those making tens of millions (who knows? maybe hundreds of millions) of dollars a year.

We really ought to have 50 rates of taxation if we truly wanted a more fair system of taxation.

Right now, it's the most productive members of society ( the affluent upper middle class) who are being totally screwed, folks.

And they are being screwed, not to help the welfare class, but to keep the rate of taxes on the SUPERWEALTHY much lower than they truly ought to be.

A guy making a mere million a year ought NOT to be paying the same RATE of taxation as the guy making ten or 100 times that amount.

The opinion piece isn't attacking the rich per se, its attacking the politicians who push for legislation that predominantly favors the rich, but at the same time the rich aren't complaining about it. How can anyone blame the jobless for any fucking thing? Most jobless people are trying to get employment and they're far from being rich, there's no glory nor happiness in being poor and employed.
