The brethren of the AGW cult claim that the current retreat of ice and glaciers is unprecedented. The archeological evidence indicates otherwise:

Items lost in the Stone Age are found in melting glaciers ScienceNordic

Mittens, shoes, weapons, walking sticks -- lost in the high mountains of Norway thousands of years ago -- are now emerging from melting ice. Around 7,000 years ago the Earth was enjoying a warm climate. Now glaciers and patches of perennial ice in the high mountains of Southern Norway have started to melt again, revealing ancient layers... The summer of 2014 was hectic in this respect. In Oppland County alone, Pilø and his colleagues found 400 objects, now emerged from the deepfreeze. Among these were a horse skull and hiking staffs from the Viking Age. An arrow shaft found by...

Weird things have been found were they shouldn't have been, or their existence can't be explained at all. The Antikythera mechanism. Or a hammer found in million year old mineral deposit.

Almost sounds like a natural cycle. Some places seem colder than before while others are warmer. Things in nature are constantly changing, much like the seasons.

Of course, no matter what changes or stays the same, the global warming crowd will say it's a sign they are right. Even when they are dead wrong in their predictions, which they have been from the start, they claim it supports their theory.

My biggest problem is their proposed solutions. It means a lot of money being redistributed with no evidence that they will change anything. Too many have everything invested in this and will lose it all if they can't convince politicians to force their solutions on us.

We should respect the earth, but having more money confiscated from us and handed to countries to shore up pension funds isn't going to save the earth.

When I see Hollywood people and politicians leaving their private jets and limos parked, I will know they are serious about their stated beliefs. Until then, I refuse to listen to hypocrites.

Looked like a root through a rock to me.

hahahahaha. arent you afraid of giving fodder to the warmists?

its a bit of a push. warming comes and goes so it is not unusual. but it also means that it is warm today, at least in certain localities.

or do you just find evidence and data interesting?

The place where these items were found can easily be explained. The earth was warmer then.

No. I don't think so. A living frog found in a million year old seam of coal? A modern iron hammer found lodged in a bit of sediment that dates back a millions years, and the Antikythera device? A thousand year old mechanical computer created before the ability to create such a machine? It's proven to exist. They didn't have the skills to make this thing...yet here it is.

Dear little silly dingleberries, we have been telling you that it was warmer in that period for a lot of years.

What evidence is there for the hockey stick

See the slope on the line from left to right? We were in a period of gradual decline from the high point of the current interglacial. Then we started dumping GHGs into the atmosphere, and we see the current very rapid rise in temperatures on the right. We have not seen that rapid of a change in temperatures since the beginning and ending of the Younger Dryas period. You might want to do a little research on what happened during those periods.

Very interested in that mechanism. To create those gears, you had to have a lathe. Somebody, somewhere, had created one. Just as there were stone arches in use in the mid-east 2000 years before Rome, and, in the same area, someone had discovered how to do primitive electroplating. Problem then, was that guilds, or systems like them, kept these 'secrets' and the technology was not shared. Disease and war wiped them out, and they were not rediscovered for centuries.

A very large impetus for the 'enlightenment' was the invention and subsequent dispersal, of the ability to do mass printing. Add to that international postal systems, and a very rapid increase in the education of the general population, and we are where we are today.

Yes, there were the skills to make such a thing back then, if a society or guild had given the means to a member or a few members of De Vinci capabilities. What was not available, and actively prevented, was the dissemination of the knowledge. Just as today we are seeing the active promotion of willfull ignorance by one segment of our population.

The following is from this site: Climate at a Glance National Climatic Data Center NCDC

Too much trouble to post the actual chart but here is the data for the chart. I put into the chart for global land and ocean, annual temperature from 1950 to 2000 trying to replicate the hockey stick on your chart. What I got was a graph that did show a trend upwars at 0.1 deg C/decade.

So here is the same chart from 2000 to 2014 to see just how the hockey stick worked out. Again a positive trend of 0.07 deg C/decade. Consider also that for whatever reason US average temperature does not track the same. For the last 20 or so years there can be argued a negative trend. But don't trust me go to this site and put the number in for yourself. Be sure to make the time stamp Annual. Climate at a Glance National Climatic Data Center NCDC

So because there was natural climate change 7000 years ago, that somehow proves that climate change now is somehow just another cycle

Since 1900 when the industrial revolution began, climate change is occuring at an alarming rate. 97% of scientist agree that it is man made

Yet, we allow big oil to dictate that conservatives fight their fight and deny the very idea

So, what you're saying is that we dont know everything we think we do. Imagine how that makes a warming alarmist look now?

Um, so it can't possibly be "THE WARMEST YEAR EVAHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

AGWCult is fucked...again

95% of scientists thought the earth was flat too. Then again this is a horrible thread for trolling, troller.
