Israeli Education Minister: Next Lebanon War Must Target Civilians

120,000 bodies.

Even the Syrians are fed up with Palestinians whining over every scratch while they're struggling to collect their organs from the streets.

The comparison is an insult to the Syrians.

More than half of the casualties in the Syrian conflict have been combatants. Since the Syrian Arab Army is fighting against a real military force, there are combatant casualties on both sides and civilian casualties caused by both sides. In Gaza, on the other hand 80% of the casualties were civilians killed by the Israelis. And, stop making things up. Killing hundreds of children at a time like the Israelis do is not a "scratch". But, that's how you people think, the killing of non-Jewish children is a "scratch" but God forbid a Jewish kid is killed. Disgusting racists.

How lucky for you that your Islamic terrorist heroes wage war from civilian areas putting civilians in the line of fire. Those dead civilians are the direct responsibility of your heroes. Fortunately for you, dead Islamics are a source of propaganda.

A dead civillian cannot be:

Radicalized

Militarized

Or.

Reproduce more vermin which can be.

See the logic yet?

That was the Nazi idea regarding the Jews. It is a perverted logic, but if you are a Nazi, it is understandable.

You poor, dear. You're in denial of the facts. I suppose that is easier for you vs. accepting the documented evidence.

In fact...NPR has been doing a lot of journalism with what's happening in Syria and Iraq - people trapped in beseiged areas, between ISIS and Assad. It's horrific. Of course (and yes I'm bitter) - they're muslims and a goodly portion of people here feel they just ought to kill each other and don't see them as human beings at all. But it does see somewhat hypocritical to go on about Israel targeting civilians when, as a nation, they do go further than most to avoid civilian casualties, in the face of such horrific misery right next door where civilians are daily targets - where schools and hospitals are clearly and unambigously chosen as targets.

Death Tolls

2016 alone: 16,913 civilians killed
1,984 children and 1,237 women

It's not that civilian lives don't matter, it's that pushing the false narrative that the IDF deliberately targets them as a matter of policy doesn't help the cause at all. Meanwhile next door 55,000 children have been killed since the start of the conflict. Civilians are beseiged and starved in cities. And people quibble about the horrible Israelis and horrible Palestinians and try to make comparisons where comparisons simply aren't possible when in Syria schools and hospitals have been confirmed to have been deliberately targeted not once, not twice but until there are none left in the city to care for the wounded.

Look at how many children (not to mention women and others) who were killed when Israel bombed their homes. Bombing civilian homes is a deliberate attack on civilians. There is no question about it.

You do realize that the population involved in Syria is about 20 times that of Gaza. In 2014 alone, the UN reported 1,483 civilians killed. 496 children and 253 women in Gaza. Do the math and tell me that the Gazans were lucky they were killed by Israelis. Proportionally, 9,920 children and 24,740 would have been killed in the Syrian conflict if the Syrian military on both sides had been as brutal as the Israelis.

It's a mixed bag. For example, Operation Cast Lead opened up a lot of investigations into unethical and careless targeting and the use of white phospherous that was reprehensible. But on the other hand - the Palestinian fighters DO mix among the civlilians and Gaza is densely populated making it hard to avoid civilian casualties.

I think in order to be fair we need to consider several points:
- Israel has developed extremely precise weaponry to reduce such casualties
- Israel has a right to protect it's civilian population when it's attacked just has the Palestinians have a right to protect themselves.

Every child killed is a tragedy, whether it's Jewish, Palestinian or Syrian. And it's a crime when they are deliberately targeted.

No one said that they were "lucky" to be killed by Israeli's but if the Israeli's were using the methods the armies in Syria were using the death rates would be many times higher because, proportionately - Gaza is much more densely populated then Syria and THAT, not Israel's methods is one of the biggest reasons for such high casualty rates. If the Israeli's were using barrel bombs what do you suppose it would look like?

The point is - the Israeli Army has been cleared multiple time of deliberately targeting civilians. Syria - sadly all side in the conflict, have been complicit in targeting civilians, starving them under seige, and targeting schools and hospitals.

More than 76,000 people died in Syria’s civil war in 2014, including more than 3,500 children, a monitoring group reported on Thursday. The figures would make last year the deadliest in Syria since the conflict began in March 2011.

The figures from the monitoring group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, put the total number of dead in the conflict as of Wednesday at 206,603.

Nonsense. Individuals have the right to self defense. Collectively, people have the right to self defense.

Your islamic terrorist heroes have no entitlement to acts of murder or acts of war without consequence.

You can try this yourself. Grab a knife and threaten to attack an Israeli soldier. Just explain to him that you haveve an entitlement to attack him without consequence. Let us know how that works out.

The difference is 1- that's Allepo, 2- The Palestinians were shooting missiles from those buildings, and 3- The Israelis gave plenty of warning that those buildings were going down for that very same reason. Any nation has a right to defend it's people from an enemy that shoots missiles at civilian populations.

Bullshit, Israel never killed "hundreds of children at a time". Most of those so called "children" are Hamas combatants between 15 to 26 years old portrayed as children by Pallywood and the leftie Islamist marxist media.

I see a false question here.

Najd was a Palestinian farm village whose existence predates the Ottoman Empire. Before the 1948 war, Zionist/Israeli forces attacked and occupied Najd driving its inhabitants (a civilian population) into the Gaza Strip. Israel has never legally acquired that land. However, Israel built the settlement of Sderot on village land.
