Israel Admits Harvesting Organs Without Families' Permission

Ya cause taking organs from already dead people including your own is exactly the same as murdering people to do it. You dumb asses amaze me more every day.

so you would be okay with a member of your family being killed during war by the opposing side then have them using his/her body for organs all without telling you anything about it?

And of course the donated organs went to help people, not just the leadership. But any excuse to paint Israel as anti human rights cannot be foregone on this board. Yet more proof that anti-Israel=anti-semitism most of the time.

quote one anti-semitic post in this thread before the post i quoted

If I were the sort to have criminals in my family, I would not object if they died in the commission of a violent crime and then their bodies were used for the treatment of the ill.

The Palestinian terrorists are Criminals
If they want to be insurgents they need Palestine to Openly declare war against Israel and then they can be legitimate insurgents. Sure the Arabs in Palestine will suffer horribly, but that is the nature of war. Islamic terrorists all go on about how they are fighting the good fight, but in reality they are criminal scum who deserve whatever ills befall them.

where did you get that they only did this to people they considered to be criminals?

Forensic pathologists work on crimes. Dead Palestinian terrorists would get autopsied by them to try and get data about their living, criminal, allies.
Ask any of the pro-Palestinian crowd whether they think the Israeli's would 'waste' the effort to autopsy a Palestinian Arab to determine if they were the 'victim' of a crime.

The Channel 2 report said in the 1990s, forensic specialists at Abu Kabir harvested skin, corneas, heart valves and bones from the bodies of Israeli soldiers, Israeli citizens, Palestinians and foreign workers, often without permission from relatives.

.....

Complaints against the institute, where autopsies of dead bodies are performed, at the time of Hiss's dismissal, came from relatives of Israeli soldiers and civilians as well as Palestinians. The bodies belonged to people who died from various causes, including diseases, accidents and Israeli-Palestinian violence, but there has been no evidence to back up the claim in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that Israeli soldiers killed Palestinians for their organs. Angry Israeli officials called the report "anti-Semitic".

I'm sorry; I don't recall ever expressing support for the government of Egypt. Did you have a point you wanted to make?

I'll bet even your car is a Dodge.
Can you honestly not answer a point straight? I'd accept a simple yes or no.

Substitute the word Egypt for Hamas and then come back to me.
Yes

OK, we good?

Good. Now tell me how your over-arching concern for human rights extends to the oppressed Egyptians, especially the Copts in the that country. Post with a straight face how horrified you are by the human rights abuses in:
the PA
Syria
Jordan
Libya
Egypt
Saudi Arabia
Kuwait
Yemen
etc
etc

Then we can have an honest conversation about how Israel tramples human rights, in the context of what is normal and accepted for that region.

Note that the original Swedish charge was that Israel was killing Palestinians and harvesting their organs. That was clearly not the case, but I don't see a retraction anywhere or apology.
So while the actual circumstances are not great and show a lack of judgment it hardly amounts to "ghoulish" or a violation of human rights.

I am not one of those who said they did.

The newspaper should have issued a retraction and thier actions deserved condemnation.

The Israeli officials, however, were still out of line to call the report anti-Semitic if the report only referenced actions or alleged actions by Israel.

Others, though not I, will argue with you with good reason that human rights were violated if organs were harvested without permission of the people who had died or by their families. It seems though that the violations were not directed against any specific ethnic or religious group.

They don't have to. Israel attacked Palestine in 1947 and that war has never ended.

I read through the first couple pages and my main question is this:

Why are people defending Israel by bringing up others? So because Israel does something that is considerably less worse than some terrorists that suddenly makes everything Israel does okay? :eusa_eh:

Then we can have an honest conversation about how Israel tramples human rights, in the context of what is normal and accepted for that region.

I'd support government-toppling revolutions in all of the countries you listed. Now, let's return our focus to Israel, the only human rights abuser in the region that is commonly regarded as one of America's "greatest allies" and that has a fanatical fifth column lobbying for its sake in the USA.

I suppose these are the lame attempts at diversion I should expect from a poster so delusional that he's convinced he knows more about Islam than I do. Fuck off, Jew.

What else do you call a report like that that was obviously published in defiance of the facts? It appeared to be agenda-driven. And what was that agenda?

You seem to think anything that might pose Israel in a non-positive light must be false and untrue with a agenda behind it to kill all the Jews.

Israel is one of America's greatest allies. The Shah was one of America's greatest allies too. So is Saudi Arabia. Their status as allies has little to do with their human rights record.
But I give you points for being able to hold out three pages without revealing your true colors as a Jew-hater. Not that I doubted it for a second.
You muslims are a riot. You are the biggest hypocrites on earth. You pretend to fight for the Palestinians in Israel while kicking their asses to the ground and using them as slaves in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. You condemn the U.S. as the great satan and then take refuge under our Constitution. You call for the withdrawl of all infidels from the dar el salaam and then invite us in to save your asses from your brother Arabs. There is not one Arab country that has a tenth of the human rights that Israel accords to its own Arab minority.
You all make me sick.

And YOUR true colors come out Muslim Hater. You in the same boat as David as wishing for the death of all Muslim lately too?

Oh my god, the amount of irony in your post right there is so delicious that I'll still have some left over for later.

By the way, mind telling me what Israel has done for the U.S.? I'm always told that Israel is the U.S.'s greatest ally or one of the greatest, but how? They don't give us any money, nor military support, or troop support.

Anti Israel does not equal ant-Semite. No matter how much you wish it would.
