Could it be actually true in a strategic sense?

Or is it redundant to speculate considering that any major conflict will soon turn to a nuclear war?

Still, the question should be asked for a war that is restricted to only conventional weapons.

I've placed this topic here in Military in hopes of a serious discussion that doesn't belong in the Badlands. Moderator cooperation would be appreciated.

Losing to a minor country a fraction of their size and you post this LOL military genius you are not.
Good response!
But it's always possible that Russia has already demonstrated weapons superiority over America.

Who will know until all limitations are discarded? America's full might have already been depleted in ammunition, excepting outlawed cluster munitions and other banned munitions? While Russia's industries are still turning out endless supplies?

Most strategists are already suggesting that Europe is not a factor that Russia should sneeze at and so America is the target if it doesn't agree to a peace that is satisfactory to Russia.

I don't really think it's a question of American losing the war though. It's really totally all about Russia's unwillingness to accept defeat.

Your comment therefore has to be more about the nuclear abilities of Russia. Could Russia destroy America and still survive? That's a question with much to be considered!
Therefore, the tantalizing question for America's war planners?

Has Russia invaded a NATO country yet? ... The West allowed Russia to take over Syria, both sides have much to gain eliminating terrorism in the world ... but frankly, it looks like Russia is no match for Turkey and/or Israel, and that's without USA direct intervention ...

We don't want WWIII ... so we're tip-toeing around The Ukraine ... the first Russia tank crossing into Lithuania and all hell breaks lose ... all of Europe loses ...

What a moronic question.

No.
The West allowed Russia to take over Syria, both sides have much to gain eliminating terrorism in the world ...
America applied all the might it dared to apply against Russia in Syria, and Russia won a tactical victory in that the world focused on the fact that Russia is an invited ally and America was involved in aggression against Syria.
but frankly, it looks like Russia is no match for Turkey and/or Israel, and that's without USA direct intervention ...
We won't know until some Nato nation attacks Russia or vice versa. And fwiw, it turns out that exceptions to honouring article are possible for all concerned if any attack Russia. It's more likely the US would sit out a war between Russia and Poland. America is fully aware that it's interference will lead to a nuclear war. Military strategists are almost unanimous on America's inability to wage war against Russia.
We don't want WWIII ... so we're tip-toeing around The Ukraine ... the first Russia tank crossing into Lithuania and all hell breaks lose ... all of Europe loses ...
In fact, article 5 doesn't suggest that all hell will break loose. You need to think it through without consideration of Nato.

Limitations agreed upon must be observed by both Russia and America. It's a war that's completely about America grinding down Russia to eventual defeat.

It must not turn to nuclear and it must not end in Russia's defeat! The Russian people and Putin are totally resolved to their country continuing as an intact world power.

What a moronic question.
It's likely to be moronic to ask Christians in America, on account of prophesy and the secured feelings of righteousness among them.

But there's always going to be the real world!
To people like you it's an annoying question on account of your secure feelings that America could never lose a war.

Alas, the question is premature and likely to remain so, is we're lucky. America didn't start the war against Russia after thinking it through to it's satisfactory conclusion.

Russia is demonstrating it's ability to march right across the Ukraine and to assemble insurmountable forces on the Poland border.

That would then open up a full discussion on America being willing to honour it's Article 5 commitment which will be risking everything for 'WHAT'??

Is Russia the world's leading military power? It takes a bit more than just having a lot of outdated equipment available to throw out as cannon fodder.

Sorry, but they aren't as technically advanced militarily as they try to get others to believe. Want examples? If they are so great, then why is Ukraine still holding their own against them?

Seriously my friend, America is frantically working to develop hypersonic missile technology.
After Russia's demonstrations of unmatched capabilities in the current war, what are examples of America's superior technologies?

Are there any examples being touted by the experts to say that America has the edge?

Russia's attempts to get others to believe are strictly limited to demonstrations of their capability. They make no claims beyond that.

The Ukraine is not. It has been destroyed by Russia with impunity. The only part of the Ukraine that still exists is depending on Russia observing limitations.

If you're going to make careless assertions, be prepared to stand your ground.

This thread is intended for serious questions and answers. Not for hit and run bravado!

Did Biden lie about America not having more weapons other than banned and illegal cluster munitions for the UKraine?

No. Your question was moronic. Russia barely clings on to first world status. Its military operations are a disaster. Its military leadership is very suspect. Its soldiers are dying at an alarming rate.

Most optimistic estimates are that Nato mercenaries and the few remaining Ukrainians are dying 5 to 1 against Russians and their allies.

This could be due to restraints being observed by America so far to date?

It could also be that it's true that America had nothing more to send to the Ukraine, other than banned and outlawed cluster munitions?

Who among us can say for sure?

Russia couldn't defeat a 7th rate military.

So no. They aren't

Potatohead has turned the US military in a bunch a purse swingers so we are not even in the count any more.
That's a crude way of saying that America's rubber is meeting the road, when compared to Russia's demonstrated capabilities.

What demonstrated capabilities?

Be specific.

That's the sort of bravado that's going to be a confidence builder for Americans who would rather not get informed.

It's all welcome here on this topic!

The slaughter of the UKraine's first and second army and the current destruction of it's third, as Russia begins its offensive. specifically

If the Russians have done what you claim then they could simply take over the country.

That hasn't happened so what you claim is a lie.

There are rules still being observed that dictate that Russia won't mount a Blitzkreif style offensive on the Ukraine by beating the civilian population into submission due to regular warfare.

The reason being because America/Nato would then start hitting Russian cities with normal non-restrained warfare.

To you goes the task of figuring out why that can never happen? Get back to me on that. It could have something to do with American big cities?
