Is it me, or is it the site?

Lately when I click to reply to some post somewhere I occasionally get taken not to the message box with that post quoted, but to the front page of another forum altogether, like "Prepper forum" (and a few others). I'm inclined to think these are other forums run by the same entities, but it's not a case of inadvertently moving the mouse and clicking the wrong thing -- it's happening at random times clicking Reply to a post. If I back up and click the same Reply again it usually works as it should.

It's getting more and more frequent now -- like five out of six attempted post replies went to another site. This is becoming a royal PITA. I will never be the least bit interested in "Prepper forums" or whatever, and if I get interested I'll find it on my own.

It seems to have something to do with this site -- that list of "Popular Links" at the bottom near-right contains ALL of the errant websites I get taken to. I've seen all four of them, and it's never redirected me anywhere else.

I don't know. All I can tell you is I have not experienced this. A few days ago I was having an issue with me randomly getting redirected to some spam Web site, but it had nothing to do with USMB. I'd be on cnn.com, for instance, and suddenly get redirect, so I ran my spyware clean up software and it stopped after that. I would recommend trying that and see if that helps. This is what I use, but there are dozens of products out there.

Can't say that I am. It is taking you outside USMB? That's odd.

Probably spyware. Get a program and scan. And he needs to stay off the porn sites ( usual cause).

Apparently not, since this post got through.

I have both Spybot and AdBlock already. And yes it was taking me out of USMB but always to USMB's own links, which is why I suspect it's something the site is doing.

Went offline for a day or two, will see if it comes back...
