The Jan 6 riot is called an insurrection by the left. Every left-wing protest and riot in legislative buildings before and since are never labeled that. One wonders why that is. Perhaps the charge it is a political witch hunt does actually apply?

Maybe the difference is (a) interfering with a Congressional act [Congress counting the EC votes], and (b) that Congress through an overwhelming majority identified J6 as an insurrection, passed by both chambers and signed by the President?

Since the BLM/antifa Search & Destroy riots happened a while ago the statist left has reverted back to their Semantics & Deception tactics.
