But I have looked at the numbers in this century and they have been right around 10,0000 for decades with those numbers actually dropping through much of the Obama Admin (likely as a result mostly of the Great Recession).

And what I saw was that the numbers NOW are around 12 mil (largely because of our low unemployment numbers and need for workers)

Now if you can find something credible to dispute that , have at it
