Republicans Have Never Been Serious About Immigration

The Senate has passed numerous immigration bills over the past couple decades… even conceding to funding that stupid wall.. and Republicans in the House have sent those bills to the cornfield every time
Repubs passed HR2 eight months ago. Dems told them to go fuck themselves

Republicans do NOT want to solve this. They want TO CAMPAIGN on it… to scream about it

But if it gets fixed they know they have nothing to run on

It’s time to vote them out. House. Senate. White House
are you saying the democrats always have been?.....

For the first two years of his Presidency Biden’s party had control of both chambers of Congress and did nothing to deal with the border or illegal immigration. They spent most of that time trying to convince the country there wasn’t even a problem.
The GOP could block the vote in the Senate, forgetful blackhawk.

Overall, you are correct, however, the outcry that has existed has almost exclusively come from Republicans. The Democrats have said little to nothing about this problem over the years and frankly, welcome it, because they view these people as future Democratic voters. Henry Cuellar is an anomaly bringing up this issue and that is mainly because he represents a border district and has probably been getting an earful over it. Democratic mayors and governors have smugly sat back for years proclaiming themselves sanctuary states and cities while lobbing racial accusations at the border states, that is until they started receiving busloads of them courtesy of those border states and now are realizing exactly the hell, they've been dealing with all of these years. How quickly their tune has changed when the problem enters their own front yard.

What a crock of shit

Republicans scream about it and Dems try to fix it. And get no help from Republicans ever

I get that Republicans think that if these people ever become citizens and get to vote that because of their shitty treatment of them that they are terrified that they’ll lose even more electoral power but it just doesn’t work that way.

No one knows how they’ll vote and it would be decades before they jumped through all the hoops to be able to vote.

Are Hispanics now a solid Dem vote? They are not

And Dems don’t even look at this that way

You don't have to take my word for it. Your own tribe said it themselves.

The left-wing Center for American Progress issued a report in 2013 titled “Immigration Is Changing the Political Landscape in Key States.” It summarized its argument thus: “Supporting real immigration reform that contains a pathway to citizenship for our nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants is the only way to maintain electoral strength in the future.”

Books were written about this idea. The widely cited (and over-interpreted) 2002 book “The Emerging Democratic Majority” by John Judis and Ruy Teixeira called the Democrats “the party of transition” as “white America is supplanted by multiracial, multiethnic America.” In 2016, Steve Phillips published “Brown Is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority.” His publisher’s website says the latest edition of the book contends “hope for a more progressive political future lies not with increased advertising to middle-of-the-road white voters, but with cultivating America’s growing, diverse majority.”

The Democratic Party has shown little interest in fixing anything immigration related over the years. In fact, anytime border states try to enforce federal immigration laws because the federal government is dropping the ball the Democrats sick the DOJ on them. It's also not Republicans who refuse to work with ICE by not turning over arrested illegals or declare themselves sanctuary cities and states, is it?

I'm not debating the efficacy of the argument. I'm pointing out that is what the parties believe.

And Dems don’t even look at this that way

And yet I just gave you three examples that they, in fact, do.

Own it Lesh. Your Democratic Party champions illegal immigrants and CRAPS on poor Americans. The American people see it now, there's no more hiding no more spin.

Dems have repeatedly tried to fix this problem and Republicans have stood in the way every time

You obviously don’t want to fix it
