Well, the Democrats jumped the tracks of the crazy train years ago with me. Now it seems to be the progressive vs. the socialist with each of them seeing which can outdo the other in their plans to turn us into Russia. They are so far removed from what America needs to be in their ideology, I simply can't see ever voting for them again. I don't honestly understand how anyone who has studied world history can support the Democrats.

They don't make or set policy either. This little "argument" began back about 5 pages when some yahoo claimed Trump wouldn't get to "hire his own people" and the fact is, the president DOES get to appoint his own people. That was met with protest that Congress must approve his appointments, which is true in some cases but in most cases the president gets who he wants. Then it somehow morphed into the discussion of who sets policy. You people are so fucking in over your head in terms of how government and our system of government works, it's a wonder you're able to actually win elections. Hell, some of you, it's a wonder you're making it through the day without walking in front of a bus or something.

Look... this is how it works... The President is The Man. (or Woman) Everyone who the president appoints is working at his/her behest. They carry out his/her policies. They don't "go rogue" and do as they please. If they try and do that or they refuse to carry out his agenda, they get canned and replaced by The President. And that's just how it is regardless of whether you comprehend it or not.

If Trump wins, he will put his people in place and they will do as he says. His internal administration and cabinet are not going to declare mutiny and revolt because you fucktards don't like Trump. Congress doesn't have unilateral power over the President, we have co-equal branches of government... CO-EQUAL... there's a word you might need to look up... it means that one branch is not MORE "equal" than the other.

My point was that no person any POTUS hires or appoints who does not need to go through a confirmation process is empowered to set any rules, regulations, policies, OR laws (to not leave anything out for you to nitpick over) that must be followed by American businesses or individual citizens.

Now, if you want to argue that fact, simply cite that official.

No... they are not "empowered" to do any damn thing except carry out the president's agenda or uphold US law. It doesn't matter if they are confirmed or not. If they happen to not be part of the Executive branch, they may have obligations under law to uphold the law... like director of the FBI or Supreme Court Justices... but Executive branch appointments follow the agenda of the president and do what the president wants done.

Medicare and Medicaid are bankrupt... the "War on Poverty" has not decreased poverty by any substantial measure given the $20 trillion we've spent to do so. 82 years ago, FDR signed into law the Minimum Wage and he proclaimed at the time, "Any corporation which cannot pay a living wage has no business operating in America!" .....82 years later, we hear the SAME cry from Socialists!

Socialist programs don't work... they FAIL... then they have to be repackaged and re-marketed to the public under a new name. A socialist program, Social Security, now getting old is not an automatic sentence of grinding poverty for the working American. Police, military, fire departments, are all socialistic institutions.
