Yes...not all violent attacks are by humans......but it would have been better if the boy had been killed instead of saved by an individual carrying a gun ...right?

The boy had injuries to his head and was sent to Pittsburgh’s Children’s Hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.
Not everyone saved by a gun is c crime victim. A surprising number of animal attacks are stopped by a a good guy with a gun.

Dog Fatally Shot After Attacking 7-Year-Old Boy
Police say the victim’s 14-year-old brother ran to a neighbor for help after the dog, a pit bull, attacked the boy. The dog belonged to a friend of the children’s mother. The neighbor, who has a license to carry a firearm, fatally shot the dog.
