Andrew Jackson wasn't a scumbag Nazi or anti-American asshole. POTUS, as you pointed out, swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. You've already pointed out you're against that ideal.

The fact that white men aren't in charge is more a symptom than the disease itself.

I have no use for Freedom or Liberty. Most people don't have the Morals or Self-control to deal with the opportunity to do Wrong rather than Right.

Traditions generally exist to ensure that people are doing what they SHOULD rather than what they may want to do. If you don't like the Traditions of a place, LEAVE, don't destroy it for others.

I find it amusing that such a staunch conservative would favor the president who started the Democratic party.

Agreed news is a business. I watch news every day, but only for about 30-45 minutes to catch the headlines. I also read it online to fill in gaps or other viewpoints on particular matters.

However, almost 120 years later we are not limited by one or two newspapers. We have the Internet. Our problem today is "Information Overload", a term coined by "Bertram Gross, the Professor of Political Science at Hunter College, in his 1964 work – The Managing of Organizations. However, it was popularized by Alvin Toffler, the American writer and futurist, in his book “Future Shock” in 1970."

The good news is we, or at least the newer generations, are adapting.

What possible difference does it make whether a cashier is male or female? They ring your stuff up, tell you how much, and make change. Do you think women incapable of such simple tasks?

True, and as deplorable as that is, it was a common attitude of racial superiority via "Manifest Destiny".

Judging 18th or 19th Century people by 21st Century standards isn't fair. People should be judged by their times. Some people were ahead of their times such as Thomas Jefferson, despite being a slave owner, and some people are on the wrong side of history such as Anathema, Assad and the fucking Nazis.
