If I follow that logic then abortion may not occur under any circumstances. And it also goes to the heart of the gubmint getting involved in patient/doctor decisions.

Seriously, I don't want you or anyone else, especially the gubmint injecting opinions or making laws that violate personal decisions. IF you find abortion a moral failing or sin (though the Bible doesn't even mention the word abortion) then by all means don't have one. But don't play God and try to force others to conform to your beliefs.
