I find it funny that people call an electronic device "she".

You don't have one in your house?
It's no matter.

I won't have one in mine but have a family member that does have one. When my wife and I travel out of town we stay with them. It's a meeting place for holiday gatherings. Other family members come over and we celebrate there.

One night after celebrating, a family prankster on the way out and unbeknownst to the rest of us instructed alexa to set the alarm for 4:00 A.M. :iyfyus.jpg:

Now when we get together there and celebrate, the last one to bed has to instruct alexa to cancel all alarms before retiring.

My car has a female voice. It sounds a little hot for an AI.
But she never understands what I say, and I find myself shouting.
Definitely female.

I don't want anything in my home that listens to every sound made. It's bad enough that I often scream at the TV.

Now there's one that calls up correct movie anytime you speak any significant line from the movie into the remote.

Technology has come a long way since Mr. Bell said, "Mr. Watson--come here--I want to see you."

BTW, I put opaque tape over every camera lens on my laptops, tablets and phones. If I need to take a picture, I use my SLR camera...or with my phone, I remove the tape. It actually keeps the lens from collecting dust. The camera on the screen side of the phone stays covered all the time.
