I don't give a damn............

No one with a Reagan quote in their sig is a non partisan prepared to vote for the democrat if they happen to be offering the best candidate, in fact you are advertising your partisanship for all to see, don't piss on us and tell us it's raining.

just goes to show how ignorant u choose to be i was young when Reagan was in office i was a democrat first and i respect what Reagan had done and what he was as a human being. You on the other hand are showing ur aggressiveness and foolishness by not talking to people or learning. Its a shame but ur right to do as u please.

U ever hear the saying "we can respect our enemy, we just dont have to like them" or something to that effect. But Reagan said it correctly "i didnt leave the party, the party left me" and thats true as a republican he was a democrat, and thats okay. If u read or listen to his speeches he didnt do a 180 because the wind went that way. He remained the person he was but changed parties, i respect that and i respect what he did for the country even if Dems want to point out he was a dem during his time. The man was a wonder and i just wnat to remind people what he did for this country, not as a republican but as a human being, sorry u cant do the same.

Not buying it for a minute, change it to a quote that calls for unity and understanding and we will talk.

when did Obama offer that much? hope and change was not unity and understanding.

More socialism for the rich? Will that seriously help a fucking thing at this point?

I didnt say I was voting for him.. I want to END Corporate handouts for existing products. That's why I will be voting for a MORE qualified candidate named Gary Johnson.

I might HATE the leftist scapegoating and stupid campaign rhetoric. But I'm not stupid enough to vote for Republicans either..

Coward, the libertarian Gary Johnson dodge is nothing but a handy way to avoid ever having to defend your position in real life situations.

Not a dodge.. It addresses MOST ALL of my political beliefs and concerns. That -- and i find it abhorrent that you folks waste so much defending your clowns on the grounds that they are "not as bad as the other guys"..

You really should try it sometimes. Actually work hard to make the ballots in all 50 states so that you TOO could offer America a candidate that espouses ideas that they TRULY BELIEVE in..

Hypocrits..

Not nearly as stupid as this.......

Look at President Obama's record in dealing with nuclear proliferation. He got the START Treaty signed (other presidents were not able to get this done; Reagan wanted it to be his "signature accomplishment").

Obama got it done without the US giving up any firepower. The "weapons" we gave up were all outdated and unusable. But, we still have the power to wipe out any country many hundreds of times over.

The folks like Bain Capital are experts in refocusing errant companies.

OMG, this has got to be the funniest thing I've read in a hell of a long time. I must admit, that really does sound a lot nicer than VULTURE CAPITALISM.

You're amused only because your political education sucks. And you are unaware of the virtues of original thinking. That's what Private Equity does.

If you want to see sad and wasteful -- you should take "an errant company" thru bankruptcy court.. But -- with your malnourished understanding of the real world -- it might be over your head.

He has offered and given much more than he has received for his decency, especially in the early days when he naively thought republicans cared about the well being of America and were capable of occasionally putting country above party. If he has been short with republicans of late it because he finally sees them for what they are.

Romney is not competent to run the country, it is already clear that he will be nothing but a willing tool of the GOP leadership and happy as a clam to accept orders from the Rovian powerbrokers. Hell, Rove will probably even finagle his way back into the white house again.

so what made u think Obama was competent? I still want to know this, what is the lefts obsession with not just "disagreeing" with republicans or anyone who thinks different but damn guy u are obessed with HATING anyone who disagrees with u. WHy the hate?

Well, he's half black...............and was full of empty slogans like "hope"

What else could you possibly have asked for ?

u are correct how could we both not possibly buy into that? what were we thinking. Lords have mercy if only i was sold hope and change and no experience into one of the most power positions in the world.

I do not deal in Utopian ideals as the answer to anything. Dreamers are not the best leaders, in fact they suck at it. I had no high hopes that Obama would change a damned thing and I am generally satisfied with what little he has managed to do in spite of unprecedented opposition. I am very much a realist and the libertarian thing stinks of wishful thinking that men can go against their human nature every bit as much as communism.

what unprecedented opposition when he has the rare super 60? what did he get accomplished with that?

Plenty before the teabaggers came along with their mission to destroy the government and crash the economy.

But, of course I'm paying attention, honey buns :)

I have to read all the crap, even yours, to discover how truly ignorant about the real world so many of the Obama supporters really are. Fascinating!!

"I" overvalue what "you" think of ME???

Do hold that thought until your keeper shows up to feed you :D

And to think, all these companies Bain was involved in......all they needed to do was unionize to turn their fortunes around..................lol

Of course you don't have the spine to work for your convictions. You just "hope for the best" and let your politicians ream you repeatedly.. I see no "realism" in voting for the slightly less sucky.

Your post has about as much evidence backing it up as there is evidence supporting the belief that pigs are psychic.

Based on what? That he was born rich, to his credit maintained his wealth, and hasn't worked in about a decade?

Yes...tons of "real world" experience there.

Money probably means NOTHING to a guy who volunteered to engineer a successful Olympics and left corporate troubleshooting to serve the Public at a huge cut in pay.

Being a governor is "not worked in a decade"? Check yourself -- I don't think you believe that.

The folks like Bain Capital are experts in refocusing errant companies. Without them -- there would be MORE pain and suffering for sick companies. You consider that "less significant contribution" than being a member of the Jersey Shore cast?

ROFLMAO!!

The Bain method? Pick a rocky, but viable company, load it up with debt, bankrupt it and sell off the pieces.

Method two: Pick a company that is in financial trouble preferably one that can be outsourced. Have the present employees train the overseas employees. Fire the US employees. Move the company totally overseas. Claim a tax credit.

After that you put your profits into tax free accounts overseas.

I am sure Staples' employees would be suprised to learn that they no longer live in the United States.

Right now your Dear Leader is bombing 5 or 6 different countries a year.. Who's whispering in his Gigantic ears?

What matters is that we ditch this scapegoating and class war. We need to focus on doing to the country EXACTLY what the Bain did for sick companies. To refocus them, find the substance of value and increase the probability of their future success.

Of course -- it COULD turn out that the USA is so far gone -- that we should take the Corporate raider and start selling some assets and firing a lot of the (Federal) employees.

You get the similiarity? Good. So will MOST of non-socialist America..

More socialism for the rich? Will that seriously help a fucking thing at this point?

The Tea Party was started in response to politicians destroying our government and economy. They aren't the cause of either.

OWS, on the other hand, advocates the violent over throw of our government and economy.

Freakin hypocrite.

But will he actually DO anything to shut down the feeding trough? I KNOW that's a high priority for Gary Johnson.

In terms of the OP -- the candidates do everything they can to AVOID discussing the meaningful issues. So while we know that Romney pulled pranks as a prep school kid and Obama was a faithful doper, we don't really know WHAT subsidies particularly irk Romney or why Obama wastes so much time energy on only Green Jobs and Shovel Jobs.

Not happy with having to wait for the debates so that press gets a chance to actually TRY to look professional and keep the circus under the Big Top.. Rest of the days -- the clowns and the side show are all over the place.

You'll be disappointed well after the debates. At this level, those on the dais debate themselves more than each other. They have worked it out well in advance so what you'll see 4 times this Fall is basically a binary infomercial.

I heard a thoughtful gentlemen on the TV today during our sunrise tea service (thanks again boss). He was the head of "No Labels" and was bringing up the idea of a "questions day" like they have in England where the PM stands in the well of the House of Commons and takes questions for 30 minutes. Tony Blair hated the practice which leads me to believe it's exactly what we should do with our president.
