You punish yourself. The law of compensation is constantly giving you feedback on your behaviors and actions. So god gives us free will but punishes us when we exercise it and don't choose god. WHAT A FUCKING DOUCHEBAG!!!!!Why didn't god simply make us the way he wanted us to be? And when will the earth be destroyed?God authored creation, and as the author of creation He left clues in creation. No single human has ever--and is likely ever--to live hundreds of years. For a nation/tribe to survive hundreds of years is a feat in itself. Many of us cannot ignore what God's own creation is teaching us.God's word is straight and we run into problems with human interpretation. The truth is stranger than fiction. One of the things that I had to get over was ancient humans being able to live close to 1000 years. God created Adam and Eve perfect to live forever. Their sin changed all of that as you know. The second change happened after Noah's Flood. The earth was bombarded with gamma rays and Noah's descendants could not live as long anymore. The max became around 120 years. Since we live in a world of entropy, we continue to decline. This is why we can procreate with our next of kin anymore.
There are parts in the Bible where we have to interpret what a day means such as prophecy. In Genesis, a day is a literal twenty-four hours.
Genesis was never intended to be a science book. Its intent seems to be to pass on life lessons from one generation to the next so that hopefully future generations won't make the same mistakes.
It doesn't bother me that some of us who believe take the Biblical literally when it comes to science, whereas others of us separate the two. The Bible has a running theme, of how mankind continually gets things wrong, that we get things so wrong, the only solution always seems to be start over. We see this play out in the Old Testament over and over again, until the conclusion mankind arrive at is that not only does the earth have to be utterly destroyed, God Himself will have to come down if it is ever to reach its potential. The Books of Daniel and Revelation use Apocalyptic literature to paint a picture of how this might come about. It is all about new beginnings, something we all long for and desire, often intensely.
Again with the 'god' (Satan has got you in his clutches good). God chose not to create robots who do his bidding. He gave us and the angels free will, but that was already explained to you. You'll have to stop being an ignoramus in order for you and believers to make progress.
I'm not sure when the earth will be destroyed, but think Sir Isaac Newton forecast it correctly. 2060. I'm waiting to see if Bruce Bueno De Mesquita confirms it, He makes his own predictions from his software program. He'll probably predict a nuclear armed Iran or about WW III before any religious prognostication like that. Will probably be something political or some great tragedy like a huge famine that wipes out a huge segment of the population. It's a difficult subject to talk with non-believers about because well, they're non-believers.
Are we making any progress yet?
As for the earth being destroyed, so it won't be god destroying it? God's creations will do that for him? More douchebaggery.
You want to make it about death but it is about life. Specifically a life well lived. Choose wisely.
