I'd say to declare both parties to be promoting "political BELIEFS" or religions,
and these need to be treated equally:
* right to health care treated equally as right to life beginning at concept
either mandate both or retract both from govt and keep funding separated
if taxpayers do not agree to these beliefs, so citizens have free choice to fund them as BELIEFS
* unrestricted gun rights treated equally as unrestricted voting rights,
again, two political beliefs that adherents defend to varying degrees,
and should require CONSENSUS on laws since beliefs are involved that can't be forced to change by govt controls
* right to marriage and right to prayer
etc.

If even just the Third Parties, Greens and Libertarians, SUED to
REMOVE political beliefs from being mandated through govt,
that might stop this abuse going on!

How enlightening it would be for all people and parties to
recognize each other's rights to exercise their own beliefs,
without discrimination or infringement, by keeping this private and out of public policy
(except where the public AGREES on how to integrate those beliefs in govt and laws).

Nope. It's not about America, it's not about issues, it's not about strongly held convictions...it's all about sides.

If one side is for it, the other side is against it...doesn't matter what it is, that is irrelevant.

If Obama is for TPP, the Democrats are for Free Trade and Republicans oppose it.

If W. Bush is for a government perscription drug plan, Republicans are all in for new entitlement programs and Democrats oppose it.

The ONLY exceptions that I can recall were W. Bush Amnesty and TARP.
