How to "Make America Great Again"

What is great?

For me, great is when a country is a great place to live in, where politicians are working for the people, and making the country what the people want. The US has never really had that ever. A Superpower is generally NOT a great country.

Great is when government stays out of your business. How can politicians "work for the people," when half the people want to screw the other half?

No. I want to talk about the issues and the solutions put forth by the different candidates in reference toward those issues. I simply cannot get any Liberal to discuss either Bernie's or Hillary's proposals toward solving any of the issues. All Liberals want to engage in is running a smear campaign against whichever is the leading Republican candidate at the moment.

Oh that's funny. Pick a topic or an issue and I'll provide you with what the candidate has said about that issue. Neither of the top two candidates, Carson or Trump, on the GOP side has policy positions on ANYTHING. Trump's response is "Trust me, I'll hire good people". Carson simply doesn't respond or his responses expose him as a complete and utter moron.

The best way is to grow the wealth of the other 99% of this country and stop major corporations from buying out all the competition. We need to enforce anti-trust laws, tax the super rich and give people a real education again.

The 40s and 50s are a good model of what we need to do.
You mean before this Political Correctness crap and BlackLivesMatter?

no, wackadoodle.... investment in jobs and the middle class. enforcement of anti-trust laws, and wage/hour laws that fit our times...

unlike what the rightwingnuts pretend makes the middle class grow.
Libs don't invest in the middle class. They rob them of their wealth. Make it hard for them to make a living.

Yeah, because without liberals, there wouldn't even be a middle class.

Libturds are so deluded they actually believe their programs help people.

well, probably because most do. more than half of our elderly lived in poverty prior to enactment of social security.

i'm sorry if you think everyone should live in a shack like you.

that's true. i'd think one only has to look at dickensian england, pre-revolution france and the industrial revolution in this country to understand that.

but facts are optional to rightwingnuts

perhaps liberals just won't discuss those issues with you because you're stupid ad ignorant and insult the people you think should "discuss" things with you, while you refuse to educate yourself as to facts and issues and simply regurgitate whatever the rightwingnut blogosphere tells you.

A lot of people lived in poverty during the Great Depression. Both my parents grew up in poor households. so that's hardly an argument that supports Social Security.

If I live in a shack, isn't that because the social programs you endorse have failed?

Ok. My candidate is Ted Cruz. He has posted on his website on many of the issues and his solutions for them. I support his 10% flat tax approach and the side benefit of shutting down the corrupt IRS once and for all.

Instead of your usual attacks and hate campaign, why not actually attempt to discuss your own candidate's policies in an adult manner with me?

With the choke hold of the progressive/commie/liberal socialist democrats in our medias, in our universities with people like a domestic terrorist now is a Professor, Bill Ayers, and LOOK what's going on today with them as we speak. and now they have more than a foot in our Government and look what's going on today with them in charge of the Presidency.

we have no jobs, more people on welfare, more mass shootings because of no jobs and people are feeling HOPELESS. We have instigators going around causing riots and lootings, violent protesters are the norm today. I don't see us ever being Great again. I think we are hopeless. and I hate it to think that way. but watching things over my 60 years. that's just what I feel.

Except it's not a simple 10% flat tax.

Ted Cruz's Tax Plan Doesn't Add Up

Even if these speculated results panned out, the fiscal implications still would be scary. According to a dynamic analysis from the Tax Foundation, Mr. Cruz’s plan would cost the government $768 billion over 10 years. That’s not quite as expensive as Jeb Bush’s plan, which would cost about $1.6 trillion, according to another dynamic estimate. But both would nevertheless blow huge holes in the federal budget. [...]

The reason Mr. Cruz’s plan doesn’t look much worse is some tricky marketing on his part. The Texas senator makes his plan sound like a simple flat-tax scheme, when in fact it calls for a radical move away from taxing income. He would make up for a lot of the revenue lost in income tax receipts with his “business flat tax,” which is not akin to the current tax on corporate profits. It is an effective 16 percent tax on consumption, promoting saving and investment instead.

As with Mr. Bush’s tax proposal, Mr. Cruz’s plan deserves some serious discussion. How could it be made more progressive and raise needed revenue? How would it affect a world economy dependent on U.S. consumption? But, as it stands, Mr. Cruz’s plan could only be a starting point for further negotiations that would bring it in line with reality.

What part of mocking handicapped people did you like best, when Trump flipped his arms around or when he rolled his eyes?
