For the same reason we spent decades telling folks not to get into a cars with a stranger, and now we have an app. on a smart phone where you can order a ride from one?

Not only that, but we also have people who are continually bitching about privacy and how everyone else should just mind their own business, yet when they see a bargain on a website, they readily give away all their information, just to save a buck.

Hey.................remember...................in the case of most serial killers, the neighbors always said that they were such nice, quiet people, and were the last one's they would have suspected. Gacy and the BTK killer come readily to mind for that one.

True, I guess you just take a risk for being a hypocrite. You can't be too paranoid though, because someday some snowflake is going to start crying about how trick-or-treating is way too dangerous for children to participate in.

I'm a woman myself so if she didn't come to the door with any children I'd say she was too old for trick-or-treating. You're never too old for candy though. :D

Okay, so what would you say if this showed up to your door..........

Would you still refuse them a treat?

So you're sayin, a 40 year old guy in a Tom Cruze costume does nothing for you?

Yep, absolutely nothing. It doesn't mean that I don't have people who I think are attractive where it's a look but don't touch deal, but none of them I found attractive.

Damn! I better change my tactics for this year then!

Oh, Tom Cruise wasn't one of the options lol and yeah he doesn't do that much for me either lol

No really? well the Prince William costume worked out so badly for me last year.... I was chased away from entire neighborhoods.... I figured the Tom Cruze look would open some doors...... but if you think....

That's a trick who is a definite treat, and if she came to my door, I'd offer her my biggie Zagnut.

As far as how old is too old? If they look over the age of 13, and don't have costumes, I tell them to scram. If they are older kids escorting youngsters without a costume? I only give candy to the kids. However, if they have gone to the trouble of both creating a costume AND escorting the younglings around, I'm a mensch, and will give them candy also.

Heck, if the parents dressed up and their costumes are cool looking or show that they took time to make them, I give the parents candy as well.

I just use a height scale like you see at the amusement park... 42 inches (when standing)

140.

Maybe some of the ghosts and skeleton people we get aren't really costumes then. Yikes!

I don't like Thor, but I find Chris Hemsworth to be eye candy hehe. ;)

I say about fourteen is a bit too old and fifteen and sixteen is WAY too old. Are there any other thoughts about this?

I don't remember when it was decided I was too old.

But at our house now, anyone who wears a costume gets candy. If a little kid is trick or treating with Grandma, and Grandma dressed up too? Candy for both.

What's the good, but adults without children is just called begging. How often do you see adults sitting on Santa's lap without any kids? Similar sort of thing.

This guy came alone knocking at my door...

I gave him a beer instead of candy. He seemed quite appreciative.
