Why are quoting things that you yourself are saying? Just say them. They don't need to be quoted.

Spreading the wealth is referring to a progressive income tax, which is different than socialism.

Universal health care is a socialist program, but it only applies to one sector of the economy (like banking).

Quote number 3 would be socialism (or in all likelihood, pretty close), but as far as I know, you are the only one talking about it.

First you have a problem with M. Obama making too much money and now you are talking about everyone making the same amount of money. Are you sure that you don't lean socialist?

I did throw her a bone and say that universal health care would be a socialist program, but you are quite correct, it is not the same thing. It would merely be a social program.

Sure, I support Obama now but I was sure I would vote for McCain until he picked Palin as a running mate. All this screaming that Obama is the devil has just pushed me farther and farther away from McCain and as a swing voter that shows.

Obama isn't a socialist but what he is - which is good - is a pragmatist. To be blunt I'm always careful of any politician who says they have a pure ideology. They're usually full of crap and never get anything done. This bloke knows what then he becomes president he is going to have a huge job in front of him. He knows there will be no time for ideology, that's for those of us who don't have massive political responsibility. He will do whatever it takes to fix broken things and that will mean pushing aside ideology and using pragmatism. You'll see the left boo him in six months after his inauguration. He should tell them to stuff it, he's got a job to do and that's to repair the ruin wrought by BushCheney and the Goppers.

My core value if I was forced to pick one, is limiting the scope and power of the Federal Government, and Obama is not going to do that. Not one bit, he will increase it.
