Most Americans oppose Obamatax, so he owes it to us to take any opportunity that comes along to get rid of a bad law.
Since there is absolutely no chance of the bill ever passing the Senate, much less the president's desk, they aren't actually "taking any opportunity to get rid of a bad law" at all.
