Hollywood rides to Obama's Rescue

I don't remember the name of the ONE film you're referring to. Apparently neither do you since you didn't mention it. As I recall the point of the movie though--I and apparently about 300 million other people never saw it (so much for the acknowledgement of Hollywood eh?)--was that the GITMO prisoners got better healthcare than US Citizens. On that one point, it was correct.

Stats to back that whopper of a lie up, please.

Blacks are portrayed as: superior, inferior, cooler, idiots, con men, heroic, ruthless, compassionate, obstinate, compliant, mostly based on how hollywood wants them portrayed. Very rarely are blacks portrayed as the average joe, working hard, and getting by, raising a family and trying to keep the drama low.

I can name 5 movies off the top of my head where blacks are in a movie just a working joes. But to your point...do you really want to see a movie about some guy going to work in a metal shop or office or chemical plant or JC Penny, working for 8 hours, coming home and watching TV? Show me a movie that features a white actor/actress who is confined to a role like that...

So, please, let's go deeper: why does hollywood choose to downplay the USA as exceptional, while elevating countries that use bribes as way of doing business as desirable?

Well, The Avengers was set in New York City. It was about a largely American set of super heroes. Oh and by the way, it left out Colonel Rhodes--the black colonel who was in the first two Iron Man movies. One would think that if it were such an orchestrated plot to portray blacks as heroic, they would have put him in there. How do you explain that? MIB III was about exceptional Americans. Madagascar III was about exceptional American animals or animals from an American zoo. Rock of Ages was about exceptional American musicians. And apparently the movie that put the bee in the bonnet of the moron who started this ridiculous thread is about an exceptional American airline pilot. Oh but he's black so I'm guessing you don't think he is a real American.

Candy on the Hollywood part he's correct, it's better now, but watch Hollywood Shuffle with Robert Townshend, he makes the exact point.

The answer was directed to you, and your ilk that think having a fraud in the white house is wonderful.

It is unclear that he ever saw that blurb about him from his literary agent. That being said, I'd be shocked if he didn't see it.

As I recall, the person who was responsible for the blurb copped to not correcting it.

As for the answer, learn your place.

My place? Intellectual elite's example of condescending attitude towards others, ehh? What's the matter, do you think you are above dealing with people that you haven't invited into "your" world?

"Your place" in the conversation moron; where I ask B a question and you decide to answer it with something about every conservative's favorite subject; Kenya. If you guys had expressed this much interest in Africa at other times in your history you wouldn't be thought of like you are.

Sorry, I think this topic is to "deep" for you. If you want to go around chasing every black actor and guessing what there part meant, you should start another thread. This one was referring to the "fact" that Denzel (a really decent actor (and happens to be black, like the President, he could probably be his "brother", since he is too old to be his "son") that is liked by "all" colors) is in a movie that is being timed to come out the weekend before the election. Can you please list another movie that has the release dates five months in advance? If you can't, maybe you should consider why that is. Obama and his lapdog press are the ones ALWAYS bringing up race. Don't you think this is just a little coincidental?
Movie release dates are usually announced close to year in advance, particularly for big blockbusters.

That same weekend before election day that Flight opens, the newest James Bond movie will come out. Is there a conspiracy behind that one too?

It's "too" not "to". Sorry if proper English is "too deep" a subject for you.

If you want to go around chasing every black actor and guessing what there part meant, you should start another thread.
No the OP was about a specific movie and how Hollywood does this. It was about an airline pilot who, as far as I can tell, is apolitical and somehow this was timed to help Obama simply by virtue of the pilot being African American. PS: It's "their", not "there".

This one was referring to the "fact" that Denzel (a really decent actor (and happens to be black, like the President, he could probably be his "brother", since he is too old to be his "son") that is liked by "all" colors) is in a movie that is being timed to come out the weekend before the election. Sure:

If you can't, maybe you should consider why that is.
Oh but I can, you see. Perhaps you should consider why that is.

Obama and his lapdog press are the ones ALWAYS bringing up race. Don't you think this is just a little coincidental?
So Samson is a member of the "lapdog" press?

If you can't see that, I am sorry I bothered you.
If we can deduce anything from this interplay between you and I it is this. I am the windshield, you are the dragonfly. The only bother to me is the waste in wiper fluid getting your remains off of me.

You can still drink the koolaid, it is available 24/7 on most new casts. You can still vote the fraud in for another term!

Romney, according to grumps is "king of the flip floppers"....yeah keep trying to sell the "fraud" card.

You've been asked twice now to back up your statements. Since you can't...perhaps this topic is too deep for your shallow mind. The kiddie depth is at the front of the pool.

Probably something to do with the Koch Brothers. We need to see who produced it since the lead is a white guy.

Hollywood big hitters are giving Obama fund-raisers and publically supporting him. Spielberg is said to be behind his Bain capital attacks. Compare that with the hollywood biggies that came out attacking Bush.

My analogy was Obama is Bernie Madoff on steroids. Bernie stole "billions". Obama has now taken and left the tax payers on the hook for "trillions". Bernie looks like small potatoes compared to the bigger fraud. So vote for the "fraud" again, how many more "trillions" can he take from the tax payers. You can claim "I helped" when he is gone and "only" the very wealthy have health care (because they hired personal physicians), and we are left with some disasterous system like Great Britan or Canada. Tell everyone how you voted for the fraud when over half your paycheck goes to taxes to pay the "interest" for the loans this man put in place. When you are 75 and still working, know that "your hero" is responsible and you put him in power, again (I guess you didn't get kissed the first time he screwed you (all of us), and were hoping for more...).

I didn't mention "racist" agenda, you did. Moore's film on global warming, Moore's film on Cuba healthcare (did you notice how hollywood with all their money flocked to be treated in Cuban hospitals?). I said the agenda (democratic/liberal/progressive/homosexual activist/islamic extremist/communist/socialist/environmentalist: pick one they all act the same to get what they want). As far as racist agenda goes, the white and black couples in the movies occur at a greater percentage than in the population.

John Q was a good movie. I really identified with Denzel's character in that one.

Any American who takes Advice on who to vote for from Hollywood Celebs is Pathetic.

Why do we Idolize those people so much? Because they are good at Playing Make Believe? They are, for the most part, a Bunch of Greedy, Narcissistic, Delusional Assholes.

If they want to give some Advice on how to Act, or how to Throw a good Party, Or How to be an Egomaniac, Ill listen. Not going to Pay attention when they tell me why I should support Democrats.

Ya I'm with ya 100% Ronald Reagan ...what a greedy narcissistic asshole.. that was BEFORE he was a brain dead victim of dementia.

Consider the thread bumped.

The movie just came out: Last weekend I heard Colorado US Senator Udall comparing Obama to having been "put into the pilot's seat of a plane in a nose dive."

Age has had the opposite effect on this thread; you sound more koo-koo for koko puffs now than you did when you dreamed this shit up. Romney was never ahead electorally.

Ever.

I have it archived to bring it up after the election. We can compare the exit polling to your whacky thread to see where "Denzel's Movie" shows up on the issues scale.

Thanks for admitting your obsession: it would be the first step toward recovery if stupid was curable.

What does this movie have to do with Obama?

Denzel Washington is black. obama is black. Denzel Washington saved the plane because he's black. obama saves the country because he's black.

I never thought about making that connection, but the left does. They might be making a false connection because the last man to bravely land a plane and save lives was Sully Sullenberger, who is white and who might come to mind first as an aviation hero.

You are living proof that it isn't. So all of the movies featuring white protagonists that were released on Friday are to help Romney then right?
