He certainly seemed "cooler" than McCain; thats for sure. I think the media was in the bag for Obama from the outset. I heard--I dont' know if it's true--that he was on the cover of Time Magazine something like 30 times in 2008 or something like that? The Jeremiah Wright stuff would have sunk anybody else. And white guilt was on the ballot as well.

He had superior ideas too. McCain wanted to stay in Iraq. Nobody knows anyone who wanted to do that. McCain's picking of Palin was as good as reason as any not to vote for him. McCain wanting to suspend his campaign would have been the final nail in the coffin except there wasn't room for any more nails by that point.

If you'd just give a well-thought out answer instead of "blackety blackness", you wouldnt' seem so bitter. Just a thought.

I think his point was that "hollywood" tries to use movies to influence political agenda. In the thirties and forties, hollywood was proud to do that: Shirley Temple was used to cheer people thru the depression. The patriotic movies in the forties helped to keep morale and support for our troops during WWII.
Shirley Temple could do nothing to stop the depression, but she did bring a smile to millions, and make them think about better days.
Patriotic movies in the forties could not win the war, but they did help rally Americans to "buy bonds", collect stuff for the war effort, volunteer, and join to fight.

Today, hollywood leans "anti-American". If that is because their audience has expanded into other nations or because the "leaders" in hollywood lean socialist/communist, I don't know. But Obama leans communist/socialist, and it is not surprising that hollywood chooses to release movies they think will aid him timed with the election cycle. They released movies to hurt republicans prior to past elections, and it will not be shocking to see it again. The left is the side that keeps throwing Obama's race in everyone's face. He had to have a huge portion of white voters to get into office in the first place. We were told if we didn't vote for him, we were racist. Now we are being told if we don't vote for him, again, we are REALLY racist. Hollywood touts that agenda.

That wasn't what he said in his OP. It selected a specific movie about an airplane pilot; tried to marry that to the President on the premise that both the actor and the President are black.

Actually, I sort of relish the thought of some here bringing up every silly argument you guys made on the other side.
