To argue aginst this you will have to watch the video. Good luck with that.

To argue against "this"? I've always gone by the adage watch their feet, not their lips. Watching from the perspective of history, Hitler was evil, in word and deed.

Yet Hitler was TIME Magazine's 1938 Man of the Year:

Hitler was monsterous. To throw his name around to score cheap political points is pretty crappy.

Yes but he did push for social reform and see where that got them. Thats why he was so beloved by the german people, at least until the last years of the war.

yes. as was Stalin.....twice. that award is not necessarily honorary. I thought bin Laden should have won it in 2001.

Reagan, Bush 1 and 2, Clinton, Nikita Khrushchev,Chiang Kai-shek to name a few

I don't believe you have an understanding of history, especially the period between the wars; posting Hitler was "beloved" goes beyond hyperbole. Hitler appealed to the German people's emotions, hates and fears. He found people to blame, and convinced the willfully ignorant to hate and fear others.
Sounds a bit familiar to today's rhetoric.

The ends may not have looked very socialist but the beginning was socialism. How else do you think he became so beloved by most germans

He appealed to the hate and fears of the people. Didn't you ever take world history? Do you believe the Great Depression was only an American event, one cause by Woodrow Wilson? (do expand your reading, some of what you read from female conservatives on this MB is propaganda, not history).
BTW, which American Company helped build the German War Machine and after being bombed by the Alies during WWII, sued for the damage to their factories?
Anyone know?

Nope. Ambassador Kennedy's oldest son died while on a bombing run aimed at the Nazi War Machine. Nice try though.

Add in the punative Treaty of Versaille, which was overly harsh to Germany..

Yes it does, just look at the supporters of anthropogenic global warming. They refer to skeptics as "deniers" and have even started to call for the deaths of them. Same rhetoric for sure.

You should do likewise, religion is no longer the greatest killer of people. Socialism run amok is far and away the big winner there, by several orders of magnitude.

Yep. Hence my question to bigreb..., "Didn't you ever take world history?".

Really? I'll ignore the "no longer" and bet The Crusades. Your bet.
