Health Bill dead on arrival at the Senate

If someone is sick and needs treatment to survive, there is no ethical difference between denying treatment and sticking a revolver in their mouth and pulling the trigger.

Really? You are dense ... does nature take care of you? If not then nothing is being taken away when you can't pay your medical bills, period.

If you have an illness, your life is being taken away from you.

Possibly .. but by the illness ... and by nature, no human is at fault therefore there is no obligation for them to cure it unless they want to, which ... most people who provide services have to get paid or they become homeless.

No legal obligation, perhaps, but there is surely an ethical one.

:doubt: So now you want the law to dictate ethics ... typical neolib. Your kind give us liberals a bad name.

How is it a strawman? You said yourself that human life is a commodity.

No, he didn't say that. He didn't say anything remotely like that. Only you say that. And that is consistent with the Democratic view that life is a commodity to be rationed by the gov't, with "more valuable" and "less valuable" lives being compared. Winners and losers are awarded in some bizarre macabre selektion that would make Dr Mengele proud. It is a sick sick view propounded by the sick sick people that inhabit this very dysfunctional administration.

That's a utter load of crap. You are the one that treats human life as a commodity. Your position can be summarized in a simple question and answer: Can't afford treatment? Then fuck you, you deserve to die.
You are the crap-spouter here.
The Obama Administration has filled itself with "medical ethicists" who are deciding whose life is worth saving and whose isn't. It certainly isn't coming from the GOP, which believes in the sanctity of life.
Show me the person denied emergency treatment in this country.
But in Obama's Amerika there will be bureaucrats doling out "free" health care since the system will be overwhelmed. That will lead to "selektion" of the cruelest kind. Hope you haff der papieren in ordnung, Herr Polk, eh?

The GOP doesn't believe in the sanctity of life. Treating human life as a commodity isn't sanctifying it. And calling anyone that doesn't agree with you on that a Nazi just makes you look like a child.

Abortion. ;)

In reality--the democrats in congress who voted for the 2000 page entitlement program probably signed their own political suicide note. It's always been known that the democrat U.S. senate had no intention of signing any bill that had a public option in it. Just like the Cap & Tax bill that the congress signed off on--the Senate stopped cold.

I guess that's why the U.S. democrat congress has an approval rating of 14%. Why? Because they really do not listen to their constituents--& are only proping up the left wing waccos of their support.

Maybe--they'll find a way to blame that on Boooosh too--LOL

Cart before the horse ... there is a reason justice is suppose to be blind, it would be nice if we actually had blind justice some century.

Why would you want justice to be blind?

Equality.

What kind of equality is that, when justice is blind?

You want justice to blindly try a person with no resources when opponents have lots of money? You want the hospitals to be blind to the final capacity of individuals and ask the same 20000 from everyone, when clearly people that are not blind know that poor people won't be able to afford care?

The only thing that is blind here are people that refuse to see reality as it is and hide under the cover of willful blindness to not deal with actual problems.

Interesting that The "Rabbi" throws in his lot with raging anti-Semites.

Chanel, we are talking about access and affordability. No, not everyone in this country has that. Stay on track, bright eyes.

SURE they do. They just chose NOT to strive for it, and want it handed to them under the force of Government because they're too God Damned LAZY to do it for themselves.

What a pussy whiner you are.

Woman is beaten by her husband. So, pre-existing condition and can't get coverage. Ten years later, she develops breast cancer. She can't afford the treatment, therefore she dies. If only she hadn't been so lazy...

so deal with laws re. pre-existing conditions. Don't socialize the damned thing.
