    Well Durbin says a 'controversial choice' that will lead to 'controversial hearings.' Damn I hate him for my Senator. :blowup:

    GWB called him a "strict constitutionalist who will not legislate from the bench." That phrase is guaranteed to shrink the panties of any lib. :shocked:

    From what I have heard so far he is thought to be brilliant and mainstream. He is well liked by many on both sides, he is reported to have an impecable juducial record.


    So Im guessing that means most liberals will hate him :(

    Roberts wrote a brief that supported the overturn of Roe v Wade. This means for sure that the left wing is going to oppose him.

    In any case, if the ACLU is "deeply concerned" about Roberts, then Bush's pick must be a pretty good one! :D
