I didn't read the OP, only the story yesterday in our local news. At least according to that story, he was a great guy. He served in two middle-east wars, served our country, had PTSD but only made him a little depressed from time to time; no reason to stop him from purchasing or owning a firearm. He was living with his girlfriend for several years with no major issues. The guy just lost his mind and snapped. We have a population of 330 million people in this country, so things like this are to be expected from time to time, and there is little to nothing anybody can do about it.
