Gulf Stream Slowing Down

You can't just keep scream hysterically that the science is wrong. You have to _show_ it.

Okay, you obviously all can keep screaming hysterically. And you will. Just understand that's one reason why everyone is ignoring you. And, to complete the circle, you'll then cite being ignored as proof of the conspiracy against you.

No, actually, you and your fellow cult members have to show that it's correct.

Every time you post you only demonstrate that you don't understand the slightest thing about science.

We already did, admiral. We aren't the ones screaming BTW. That is the purview of you loons. We merely point out that what you claim the OP states, didn't. In other words your OP is a lie.

So does it bug you that more or less the whole world disagrees with your fantasy?

Let me restate that. How much does it bug you that the whole world pretty much ignores your fantasy?

For example, the Rossby paper is the minority opinion. Most of the science points the other way. This paper says slowdown

Gulf Stream s induced sea level rise and variability along the U.S. mid-Atlantic coast - Ezer - 2013 - Journal of Geophysical Research Oceans - Wiley Online Library

And this paper is basically a direct refutation of the Rossby paper.

Detecting changes in the transport of the Gulf Stream and the Atlantic overturning circulation from coastal sea level data The extreme decline in 2009 2010 and estimated variations for 1935 2012

You deniers, of course, had no way of knowing that, being your cult didn't tell you, and it's not like deniers ever get info from outside the cult. That's why every denier is constantly doing these faceplants into a cow patty.

And, being that deniers are all pathologically dishonest, every one of them will still quote the Rossby paper as the final authority, even they know full well it's the minority opinion.

I suggest you look at the polls, admiral. Other than those who are benefiting from the fraud, the entire rest of the world has gone away from you. That's why the carbon tax was dropped in Australia, and why no carbon taxes will be enacted in Europe, or any other place except the progressive dominated states here in the US. And even THERE, they are having trouble getting them passed.

Looks like the reality of the situation is opposite to what you claim.

As seems to be the situation almost all the time with you clowns.

Too Funny;

Michale Mann responded to a Grad Student and got pummeled by her. The paper was shown irrelevant from other works using real data (not the models that Rahmstorf and Mann used)

This is hilarious!! She cites the other papers and shows Mann's position fraud while telling him that a direct observational system has been set up to monitor it.. Empirical evidence slams the lid closed and even other alarmists are running now from this paper.. What did Mann do? He deleted the exchange...

"Of course, Rahmstorf and Mann don’t list Rossby’s study in their references, nor seem to use the “highly accurate” ADCP data. Instead they use a model along with [proxies, reconstructions, and] the highly interpolated GISS data to come to the conclusions they want. So, it isn’t surprising they are chasing phantoms in their study. They claim (in Figure 1 from their paper) that this cold spot south of Greenland is caused by meltwater from Greenland and it is evidence of a slowed circulation: "

This paper is falling apart and even alarmists are running from it and criticizing it.. Looks Like Mann is up a creek without a hockey schtick..

Duke University physicist Robert G. Brown, in comments noted:

Seriously — they found “good evidence” that such a slowing is occurring, only the actual evidence, consisting of the measured speed of the Gulf Stream itself, shows no such thing?

The cognitive dissonance involved is stupifying.

Exceptional twentieth-century slowdown in Atlantic Ocean overturning circulation
http://www.nature.com/nclimate/journal/vaop/ncurrent/full/nclimate2554.html#auth-1

Abstract
---
Possible changes in Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC) provide a key source of uncertainty regarding future climate change. Maps of temperature trends over the twentieth century show a conspicuous region of cooling in the northern Atlantic. Here we present multiple lines of evidence suggesting that this cooling may be due to a reduction in the AMOC over the twentieth century and particularly after 1970. Since 1990 the AMOC seems to have partly recovered. This time evolution is consistently suggested by an AMOC index based on sea surface temperatures, by the hemispheric temperature difference, by coral-based proxies and by oceanic measurements. We discuss a possible contribution of the melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet to the slowdown. Using a multi-proxy temperature reconstruction for the AMOC index suggests that the AMOC weakness after 1975 is an unprecedented event in the past millennium (p > 0.99). Further melting of Greenland in the coming decades could contribute to further weakening of the AMOC.
---

The summary ... the North Atlantic ocean is one of the few spots on the planet where temperatures have gone down.

It's a persisent cool spot. And it's because the Gulf Stream is starting to slow down. As was predicted.

No, it won't mean England or anyone freezes, like as in that dumb movie. It just means England doesn't heat up as fast from global warming. The more direct effects are to the USA, where, for various complicated reasons, it means faster sea level rise on the east coast.

RealClimate What s going on in the North Atlantic

Reductions in the AMOC will also lead to significantly reduced biological productivity in the tropical atlantic.

Excuse me, but in case you hadn't realized it, the AMOC and the Gulfstream are NOT the same thing.

And you believe it is all because of man's activities, right?

What I believe is not relevant. What the science demonstrates is.

When you understand that, you will on your way to joining the reason-based community.
Do you want to know why I consider you one of the most dishonest persons on this forum?

Because of this kind of post. What you believe is not relevant, so then why are you trying so hard to post theory as some kind of fact? And then why do you bother to hang around and diss people for disagreeing?

And please, you're as far removed from a reasoned based human as they get.

does this mean that you are giving credence to this paper? it is being laughed at by skeptics and warmers alike. you should be more discerning.

hahahaha I was wondering why I hadnt seen this thread before. apparently if you have someone on ignore you dont even see the threads they start.

it is worth it not to be subjected to mamooth's pooh flinging rants.
