If folks lay off the Democrat Fake News, they'll quickly realize that it isn't all Gloom & Doom. There's lots of great things going on. Trump and America are doing fine.

The numbers: The trade deficit in goods narrowed 10.3% to $68 billion, according to the government’s advanced report released Thursday. This was the first narrowing of the deficit in seven months and came in well below the $73.4 billion estimate of economists polled by MarketWatch...

U.S. trade deficit in goods drops in March for first time in seven months

There is a whopping big amount of good news to be had, but the MSM will barely cover it, if at all, if it confirms the President's agenda in any way. And that is hateful and harmful to us all.

Chances are there will be a similar decrease in consumer spending, which is not good news for our economy.

We also had record high petroleum exports.

We will have to wait till those numbers come out to find out.

We also had record high petroleum exports, so that was part of the turn around also. Not sure how that affects the economy as a whole

No, I am just not a brainless zealot like you. I understand the big picture.

It is looking like it might be a nice day for the markets though, that always makes me happy

What excuses? It is called reality. A dip in the trade deficit is almost always coupled with a drop in consumer spending.

I cannot help it if you zealots are too busy kissing Trump's ass to know how this shit works.

Straight to insults. NOt a sign of someone who is confident in their position.

It is telling that you find good economic news threatening.

Where’s your thread from 7 months ago? The last time this happened? And in all those months in between, the deficit ballooned. MAGA

You have this very strange aversion to facts and figures. I guess it is a requirement to be a partisan zealot. I post facts and you post partisan rantings in response, that is about what this board is all about.

The best of all worlds would be where consumers have a chance to earn sufficient income for what they consume and to have enough left over to contribute to charity and to save. That is what a Trump agenda can accomplish if thinking people will just give it a chance.

It is not good for the country for consumers to spend money they don't have, to not save and therefore be vulnerable to need more social services in their economic downturns.

And for sure exporting more of what Americans are creating and producing as compared to what we buy from other countries is a really good thing and will greatly help us accomplish the higher goal of more prosperity for more Americans.
