GREAT!: Trade Deficit Narrows Sharply...

If folks lay off the Democrat Fake News, they'll quickly realize that it isn't all Gloom & Doom. There's lots of great things going on. Trump and America are doing fine.

The numbers: The trade deficit in goods narrowed 10.3% to $68 billion, according to the government’s advanced report released Thursday. This was the first narrowing of the deficit in seven months and came in well below the $73.4 billion estimate of economists polled by MarketWatch...

U.S. trade deficit in goods drops in March for first time in seven months

That happens every few months. Every little thing is a colossal victory to you rubes

The trade deficit continues to grow

What!? The world is not ending? ....dumbass.
^ :cuckoo:

Good to see you have some excuses ready, in case the Good Times start rolling in.

Ha, Spot On. They really are hoping for some bad economic news. They're desperate. They lost it after their Hitlery lost. :cuckoo:

Such a fucking childish mind, how do you even function in life? OR do you?

This is the how the mind of a brain dead zealot works...if you do not kiss the ass of Trump you are a Hillary supporter. You fucked up brain cannot compute that there are a few of us that did not like either.

God this shit gets old.

Chill out Snowflake. We know you're desperately hoping for some bad economic news. Y'all hatas craaazy. :cuckoo:

You are really just not a very smart person, are you. That is ok, the world is filled with idiots and this board has more than their share. One cannot both intelligent and a partisan zealot, and you are clearly the latter.

Sorry kid, the sky isn't falling. I know your Democrat Fake News told you it is, but it just isn't. Have a good one. Take care. :)

And you are still an idiot. But they say ignorance is bliss, which is why you are so fucking happy.

Dumb shits like the tard who started this topic are such easy marks because they fall for snapshot pictures which are taken out of context.

It never occurred to the rube to check the TREND of our trade deficits since the Obese One took office. And his propagandists absolutely depend on that.

Since Trump took office the trade deficit is looking better...

Key words: "First time in seven months". In other words, Trump's trade deficit is a little lower than Trump's trade deficit was a few months ago.

U.S. trade deficit in Trump’s first year soars to 9-year high of $566 billion

In an economy as huge as the USA has, whether it is regulatory reform, tax policy, or trade policies, it takes months or sometimes a year or two before the effects fully kick in. So we still don't know what the over all results will be. For sure the Trump haters, however dishonestly, are milking any bad news they can find or manufacture for all it is worth.

However, from the same article you linked. . .

. . .The big picture: The U.S. trade deficit widened in 2017 due to high oil prices and also to a strengthening economy. When Americans are more prosperous, they tend to buy more imported goods. . .

Isn't it interesting how the Trump haters tend to just sort of skim over any extenuating facts like that?

The fact is that incomes are rising, the work force is increasing as people are coming out of involuntary retirement and going back to work, and there is much to be encouraged about and to celebrate. Is it perfect? No. Is there still much to improve? Yes.

But one of the saddest things in American society today is the irrational and unbridled hated that makes some unable or unwilling to acknowledge anything good and to look for, even hope for, bad news. How sick is that?

That poster was here a couple months ago claiming Trump was 100% to blame for an increase in the Trade Deficit. However now that it's decreased, he gives Trump no credit whatsoever. So you can't win with the hater wingnuts. Their Democrat Fake News has convinced them the sky has fallen. And you're not gonna convince them otherwise. So don't bother debating em. Just have a good laugh instead. Take care. :)

Straight to insults. NOt a sign of someone who is confident in their position.

It is telling that you find good economic news threatening.

You started this ball rolling with your stupid claims about me. If you cannot take the heat stay out of the fucking kitchen.

what a bunch of snowflakes you people are.

NOthing in my point was anything like "cannot take the heat".

I was, obviously, commenting on how your reaction reflected on you.

That you felt a need to be dishonest about that, in order to justify insulting me, in the face of good economic news, is an INCREASINGLY odd reaction.

Also, you're the one who seems upset, so, who's the "snowflake"?

You are the fucking snowflake as you are the one that started with the bullshit lies and then whined like a 2 year old when you got a taste of your own medicine.

I stated an opinion about your stated, possible reasons for the dip, with a small amount of spin.

You are the one that is flipping out.

Your reaction is all of our proportion to a small dip in the trade deficit.

You appear more confident than I AM, that this is the beginning of something big and wonderful.

What do you know about this, that you are not sharing, that is upsetting you so much?

You are making no sense, have you been drinking?

First you say I think it is the beginning of something big and wonderful and then you accuse me of being upset?

The two do not go together. So put down the Jack and try again.

Sure they can. Obviously.

It is not credible that you can't figure that out.

It would be credible that you would deny it.

It is not that you don't understand it.

Two, off the top of my head.

1. You've made a lot of comments attacking Trump's trade policy. Good results would undermine your self image as smart and wise.

2. From what you've said, you could be financially invested in the current situation, and you might suffer financially if the situation changes.

Holy FUck, that is huge news.

Anyone got any idea what caused it?

Chances are there will be a similar decrease in consumer spending, which is not good news for our economy.

What if that is NOT what is happening?

We will have to wait till those numbers come out to find out.

We also had record high petroleum exports, so that was part of the turn around also. Not sure how that affects the economy as a whole

Gas prices continue to rise for US consumers as well.

Ha, you manged to find some bad economic news to latch onto. Go figure? Feel better now?

Bad for whom?

You're celebrating a 68 billion dollar deficit in trade? So it dropped for the first time in 7 months. Anyone whining about it increasing during the last 6? BFD.

So what you are trying to say is...when the trade deficit increases, that's good. And when the trade deficit decreases, that's also good. All glory to the Naked Emperor no matter which way things go.

Yeah. That's what I figured.

No that is not what I was trying to say, nor is it what I said. But I do have some recommendations for some good remedial reading classes if you are interested.

I've bitched about lack of movement on his trade policies and the trade balance, in person and on this site.

I've contacted the white house several times about it.

I don't expect to influence most of the intolerant, the haters, the snowflakes, the group thinkers who couldn't form a coherent argument for their point of view if their lives depended on it. They are coached or conditioned to insult, attack, accuse, smear, hate on cue, and I have come to expect that of them.

But I have to believe there are still some out there who have been deceived by the others but are still capable of independent and critical thought and therefore might recognize and accept truth when they see it.

So I think the responsible thing for us is to keep speaking those concepts and facts that are true. If we don't, we condemn ourselves the world the haters would create and demand we live in. I don't want to live there.

Just makes no sense.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am about a decade from when I want to retire, so what is happening now is vital to that plan. In the last 6 years my wife and I have managed to triple our family income through both of us going back to school and getting degrees and better paying jobs. I did 20 years in the Marines and had to basically start from scratch when I got out. Since getting out 9 years ago I finished my bachelors and masters as well as two certificate programs and last year got my PMP. My wife went to nursing school and has now been a floor nurse for 5.5 years. I say all this to say we worked our asses off to get to where we are now and I am not going to wish for bad things to happen to our country as they will be bad for me as well.

For the first time in our lives we have a substantial investment portfolio that plays a large part in our retirement plans. And now I am a bit obsessed with it, checking it daily and offering "ideas" to my financial planner (who also happens to be my golf instructor!).

And you think that I would sacrifice all of that to save face on a fucking internet forum filled with partisan zealots? Who the hell would even think of such a thing?

This is my voting record for my adult life...

Johnson - 2016
Johnson - 2012
Barr - 2008
Badnarik - 2004
Browne - 2000
Perot. - 1996
Clinton - 1992
Bush I - 1988
Reagan - 1984

If someone had put a gun to my head and made me pick between Trump and Hillary I would have chosen Trump as at least with him there was the possibility of something good happening.

The only thing I care about when it comes to the Fed Govt these days is that the White House and the Senate are controlled by different parties, I couldn't care less which has which.

I am very critical of Trump's plans as I disagree with most of them and think they are bad for me and the country. I disagreed with the tax cut as it just added more money to the debt my children and grandchildren will have to deal with.

I disagree with his trade war as I think it is a losing battle and I think tariffs are nothing more than government interference in the free market of our country. Tariffs work great for socialist economies, less for for free market capitalism.

But hey, you go right on thinking I want bad shit to happen..:113:

Great News???? Trade reducing tariffs are great news????

Tariff walls go up against the US, US buyers buy less from abroad, US consumers are forced to pay more for goods and services, the US debt is increasing more rapidly as a percentage of GDP than in any point in history causing more fiat dollars to be printed boosting the money supply and some ill informed folks this looming inflation waiting just outside the door is a good thing? We went through this shit in the '70's & '80's folks and Reagan's 286% US Debt increase is still being paid by taxpayers.

Stupid bloody rabbits!
