Congressman Mike Coffman (R-CO) tweeted Friday that he was excited to return home to Colorado this weekend, but things didn’t go very well when he got there.

On Saturday, his open meeting to chat with constituents at the Aurora Central Library was overwhelmed by voters particularly concerned about the fate of their health care if the Affordable Care Act (ACA, also known as Obamacare) is repealed — a plan Coffman supports — without a replacement put in place. Rather than meet with most of them or even address them, he left the event via a back door and escaped in a waiting vehicle.

Well, what did they expect from a damn anti-America professional politician? Does anyone honestly believe that politicians are going to stick around and answer questions, the tough questions, and be backed into a corner? Pleeeeeeeeeeez ...

Consider the source. Likely fake news.

.@RepMikeCoffman Then you came home and shut out 70 or 80 constituents who wanted to speak to you, and ran away early by a back door. #shame

Then vote him out in 2 years. Problem is YOU CAN'T and showing your ass is all the power you have. By leaving, he took them from the stage and made them look like the socialists that they are.

It was fake news! He left 6 minutes early because the crowd was far more than they could handle.

Is it impossible for libs to tell the truth about anything?
Not until...

While more than 100 people were waiting to meet with him, Mike Coffman sneaks out early from his own community event. #9News

  • A regularly scheduled meeting for U.S. representative Mike Coffman to meet one-on-one with constituents ended Saturday with many unhappy people who didn’t get a chance to meet him.

The congressman, who serves the state’s sixth Congressional district, had booked a room at the main Aurora Public Library for 2 p.m. But according to many users posting on social media, Coffman limited the meeting to four people at a time.

“Rep. Mike Coffman routinely hosts constituent one on one meetings across the district,” reads a statement published by 9NEWS from Ben Stein, Coffman’s chief of staff. “Constituents are invited to meet individually with the congressman to express their opinions, seek help with a range of issues, and discuss legislation. Given the volume of people who came, the Congressman met with four people at a time for five minutes each for a total of more than 70 constituents.”

Stein said that the campaign had reserved the room only for 90 minutes, “which is usually plenty of time to see everyone.”

“For those who were unable to see the Congressman today, we apologize,” the statement reads. “These constituents are invited to attend upcoming meeting opportunities and we will block more time so that he can hear from more of his constituents.”

A message left by The Denver Post for Coffman’s office was not returned. Attempts to reach his office line were unsuccessful and his voicemail box full.

You don't leave---you shut the door. Will you believe ANYTHING a Republican tells you?

Read the article and realize that the people were demanding a town-hall type of setting, which no one was prepared to do. They were INSIDE the building and he met with about 70 constituents.

The article is long on innuendo and short on facts. Try looking at another source.

Good grief, they are just presenting the new health plan and not everyone knows all the details yet.

No one read the Obama care, , which was eight foot tall stack of paperwork, before they ever voted on it and now people want everyone to be an expert on the new plan already????

Trump is not even in office nor is his health secretary affirmed yet.

Maybe the questions should have been the other way, senator asks the people what they like and don't like about the old plan so the new one can be tweaked where necessary.

Most senators did not bother to read the old plan, no one read the old one, nor did they read the new one before now.

Got questions, ask the authors of the new plan.
