"Trump transition team member @RepChrisCollins on Obamacare: There’s not going to be changes in 2017, 2018 https://t.co/4Iyz3Nl5mK

— Morning Joe (@Morning_Joe) January 5, 2017
Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) on Thursday said there will be no changes to ObamaCare in 2017 or 2018.

"Immediately, what we're saying, is we're not going to pull the rug out from under anyone. There's not going to be any changes in 2017. There's not going to be changes in 2018," Collins, a member of President-elect's transition team said on CNN."

'Bait and Switch' on the issue or just delaying to ensure it gets done right? A lot is riding on whatever happens.

Republicans want no part of healthcare

Their base won't stand for it

Oh I think they will revamp that POS.

Keep some parts and redo the rest.

Odd considering congress ALREADY BEGAN the process by passing the first procedural vote to advance the repeal of it.

If we've learned one thing about the Trump administration it is that you CAN NOT take anything at face value. So many mixed messages & different talking points being spouted at any given time.

Some people need relief immediately. Obamacare costs the young too much for little service, and they are ill-suited to pay.

So Trump lied again. He said he was going to do away with it on day 1.

The law was intentionally written so that the most onerous parts would not be fully effective until Hillary was in office. If it took 7 years to roll out, it will take a few years to roll back.

Further, ACA was intentionally made to be stinky enough so that the American people would welcome Single Payer by 2020. Which may still happen.

The plan is to repeal now, and set a deadline for completely ending Obamacare. The Republicans have a very narrow margin in the Senate. They will need to peel off some vulnerable Dems, like the ones up for reelection in Trump states, to get a replacement passed. If the Dems vote against the replacement, the Republicans will just let it end, and blame it on Dems.

Again, win/win for Repeal and Replace. 60% of my state voted for a Missouri Constitutional Amendment to get rid of Obamacare...think Claire McCaskill has a snowballs chance in hell of keeping her seat in the Senate is she votes against the replacement? My state voted Trump by damn near 20 points!

Beginning the process by passing the first procedural vote to advance the repeal of it is not the same as eliminating it on day 1. It's not even close.

They are working on the repeal as we speak...but the responsible course action is to keep it in place while transitioning to the superior conservative system. But you knew that...

Of course. All the sane people knew Trump was lying. His supporters didn't.

I agree and I do believe the left loons think Trump will just drop the ACA and throw those on it under the bus.

You can bet your as Price, who has no love for the ACA, has been thinking of ways to replace it for quite some time.

So, when are the sane people showing up to post. Crazy bullshit like yours is getting pretty stale.

He and his ilk are just pissed that Hillary lost. Anything they can dig up that's a negative about Trump becomes an instant thread.

Trump won. Hillary lost. They need to get over it. Or not.

What do Conservatives have that is superior?

Fact is ....Conservatives will vote against ANY Republican who supports healthcare

Republicans will draw a line in the sand three years from now and then blame Democrats when they can't agree on a replacement

There is no "conservative system".

But, you knew that ... right?

Concern about what the GOP plans to do to the health care of every America is not something anyone has to "dig up".

"Every American"? I think you will have to read more.

Yup and perhaps he doesn't realize what the ACA has done.

The ONLY people who are happy with it are those the REST OF us are subsidizing.

Such a fucking deal for the taxpayers.
