There are several things that Trump is simply "unbeatable" for being able to do; and that is, bullshit, lies and all-out demagoguery....and the latter is an amazing tool in convincing poorly educated voters.

• For example, Trump cult members love to shout out that the unemployment rate is the lowest its ever been because of the amazing business "savvy" of good ol' DJT.......

The reality, however, is that Trump's predecessor, Obama, inherited a 10% unemployment rate and managed to bring it down to 4.7%......while Trump riding this wave of increased employment, managed to lower it 1 more percentile.......The difference is that Obama managed a 5.3% DROP while Trump managed a 1% drop.
Reality and facts.

• Another fact that escapes Trump cult members is the growth of the DOW.......these cult members like to echo FOX propaganda in asking voters, "how's your 401 K doing?....Thank Trump....."

The reality however, is that Trump predecessor experienced a 37% growth in the DOW, while good ol' DJT has experienced less than a 29% growth in the DOW.....and THAT is before this past week's dramatic plunge.

Further, if we were to bother to look at the same period of Barack Obama’s first term, from Inauguration Day 2009, until the 30 months later.......the equivalent of Trump's term in office, the Dow actually rose from 8,280 to 12,696, a growth of 65 percent.

• Finally, if reality and facts have any validity for the Trump cult membership, the best GDP growth under Trump has been less under Trump's best year (2.9....although since the BLS has recently had to revise downward their stats) as Obama's best year in 2015.

There are various neutral sources where these facts can be gathered, but instead of eliciting responses from cult members that boil down to "fake news," I invite these same cult members to do their own research since the very best way to educate oneself is well................educating ONESELF.

You seem to overlook the actions of the Fed. During the Obama presidency, the Fed rate was pegged at zero, with massive amounts of QE. Trump has not enjoyed the same policies. In fact, rapid tightening by the Fed occurred as Trump came into office. Which, now the Fed is even signaling was too much.

Can an economy that requires rates pegged to zero with massive QE programs to sustain growth be considered better than one with similar growth without any of the same accommodation?

Obama inherited a tough situation, no doubt. But, I think your argument does not fairly compare the two economic times.
