So I am watching Fox News and they read this open letter from the Admiral that ran the wildly successful kill Bin Laden operation.

I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.

Like most Americans, I had hoped that when you became president, you would rise to the occasion and become the leader this great nation needs. [...]

Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities. Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.

So revoke his security clearance. He's retired, and doesn't require one.

If he's retired, then when he signed his retirement paperwork, there was more than likely a security clearance revocation in his packet. The only way I could see him still having a security clearance is if he was kept on as a consultant for various operations. But, unfortunately, the article only says that he is retired, it doesn't say if he still requires a clearance, or even what he would need one for.

I was a Personnelman for 20 years in the Navy, and doing work on service records was my primary job. Also did discharges and retirements, and part of their paperwork is notification that they no longer have a clearance and if they did, they are banned from talking about classified information they worked with for around 10 years.
