Doesn't it seem that in older times, and in times recorded in the Bible, genetics and lineage were considered the stuff of intrigue and history?

In the modern era, genetics seems to be much more of an 'economic' issue.

Here's a mock dialogue between Donald Trump (the U.S. President) and Serpentor (a fictional genetically-engineered 'super-emperor') about 'genetics negotiation' in this modern age when ethics seems to take a backseat to 'industry.'

TRUMP: In the days of Noah, the ark was loaded 2-by-2 (two of every animal!).
SERPENTOR: Well, now the Wall Street 'world' requires 'mass marketing.'
TRUMP: We should coordinate Facebook with Florida State University.
SERPENTOR: Education departments still prioritize religion.
TRUMP: That's changing with technology.
SERPENTOR: Are you suggesting that A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) will replace God?
TRUMP: I'm saying that the so-called 'Biblical days' (the eras of Moses and Peter) are so ancient!
SERPENTOR: What about the wars of King David (Old Testament)?
TRUMP: People care more now about nuclear war...
SERPENTOR: No one is above the temptations of fascism.
TRUMP: We'll have to make more creative stories about capitalism...
SERPENTOR: Perhaps the Devil will reign in the 'dominion' of governance heresy.
TRUMP: Democracy should safeguard us from any 'instinct' to resort to sadism.
