Supreme Court thumbing the scale for Trump.

Conservative SC majority is now shedding any pretence still left to partisan impartiality.

Trump has little to stand on in his criminal trials, so his only end game is delaying them long enough to again make it to the White House and put himself above the law.

Nobody seriously thinks SC is going to grant Trump immunity, nobody thinks they will overturn iron-clad lower court ruling....but we have a Supreme Court that seems to be willing to use that excuse to play along and halt Trump's criminal trials for months, making it near impossible from them to complete before election.

It's been 135 days since Jack Smith asked the court to expedite descision on immunuty...nope! They insist on taking no less than 5 months to settle an obvious no-brainer outcome.

Even if there was some argument about how busy they are or how complex of case this is :rolleyes-41:, they still didn't have to do it this way. SC could have simply allowed the trials to go on, while they square away these go-nowhere immunity claims.

We knew Thomas was an unrepentant Trumptard and Alito is not far behind, but for the rest to go along with this ridiculous shit? :mad-61:

This marks a whole new low for Supreme Court, whole new level of partisanship and this is not going to end well.

The vote was 9-0

LOL!

Even Jumanji Jackson, who does not know what a woman is, voted it down

Congress. It's in the decision, dipshit. The unanimous, 9-0 decision.

LOL

Congress? We have House a majority whip who worked to overturn 2020 election for Dear Leader Trump.

Insurectionists are basically running the place and Supreme Court says it's this Congress that should keep the insurectionist off the ballot?

This is a joke.

COURTS should be ruling on eligibility questions, not politicos subservient to party leader.

but no one charged with insurrection. Nothing but the democrat pipe dream to illegitimately hold onto power. Is it possible that the left is beginning its implosion. Hope so.

AND? It is probably correct to keep individual states from being able to disqualify national candidates, but there needs to be a good answer to WHO has the final say on eligibility.

Red Herring.

According to this ruling Trump can be convicted of insurection and still eligible because House wouldn't disqualify him, wouldn't hold him to it.

It's not the right answer.

The idea that congress gets to decide who can and cannot run is idiotic.

Congress enacted the 14 amendment Sec. 3 to give the courts the power to make that decision.

This ruling just proves that SCOTUS is a collection of partisan clowns.

No matter, there are 81+ millions American voters that are pissed off that a bunch of MAGA idiots tried to steal the 2020 election from them. That's a pretty good guarantee that Biden will win by a large majority.

The Republicans would have had a much better chance with Haley.

In the end this decision guarantees the end of SCOTUS as we know it. If Biden & the Dems win, they'll impeach at least 2 SCOTUS justices.

If Trump wins, he will end any semblance of judicial independence. At this point it's doubtful that there is any now.

The Legal Beagles of USMB have been barking for months on how the 14th amendment was going to be their Holy Grail in taking Trump off the ballot. Where are you? The silence is deafening! Even your Biden justice pick who is confused about what a woman is had no doubt in issuing her vote. 9-0 baby score one for AMERICA!!!! :113:

It's weird...Congress already took action. They created the 14th amendment Sec. 3.

It's up to the courts to enforce it.

This SCOTUS is a bunch of clowns.
