Passenger vehicles only use 25% of the world petroleum production. Industry uses the rest. But still sufficient enough for the price to reflect market price.

Now in times past....when the Saudis felt the price was high they opened up the spigot and let the oil flow. This time they are not going to and it is the Republicans fault squarely.

The Republicans have increasingly become oppositional to everything the Democrats are doing and saying despite whether it's good or bad. It's not relevant.

Saudis are afraid of Iran AND Russia AND China. They need a military and nuclear weapons. These things are expensive so the price of oil will remain high.

In order for the price of oil to drop to affordable levels Russia must be dismantled. That's the message. Because everyone fears the trouble of Russia coming to help them next. So...no new exploration...no more volume....no more oil. Get used to it and having to use EVs when cheap oil could be had.
