My attempt to make basic predictions for the future of humanity are as follows:
1. The emergence of artificial intelligence smarter than humans. AI will free people from the need to work, which will lead to a reduction in poverty, the disappearance of unemployment, provide all people with the necessary living wage, etc. In addition, smart machines will take over the further development of human science, technology, even art, taking over the baton from human scientists and artists.
2. Biological immortality for people. At first, biological immortality will be available to special, selected people: very rich or very useful members of society. It will take approximately 100-150 years to provide complete immortality to all people on the planet in exchange for refusing to give birth to new people so that the planet does not become overcrowded.
3. (Very fantastic) Resurrection of the dead in another Universe (let's call it the "Underworld"), where the souls of the dead will live forever. Thus, humanity's dream of eternal life, which is now given in the holy books of the Abrahamic religions, will come true. But human science and technology, at best, can only allow this for several thousand years. Now this contradicts the knowledge of physics of the current 21st century. Let's hope that in the distant future, scientific knowledge will reach such a level that this dream will become a reality.
What do you think? Are such forecasts justified? What are your main predictions and goals for the future of humanity over several centuries or millennia?
