Trump and Hilary aren't the problem...the Germans and the rest of Europe disarmed their civilian populations after World War 1......it wasn't until the 1930s when the national socialists came to power that the gun registration lists were used to disarm their political opposition and the Jews....

This essentially allowed the national socialists the ability to achieve political power above their natural support ability....they violently attacked rival political groups...targeting their families and businesses, and since their victims were unarmed, they could not fight back or stop the attacks...and those who witnessed the attacks realized that unarmed they had better keep their own heads down to keep the same from happening to them.....

Hen the national socialists invaded a country, the civilians were again unarmed....there was no effective partisan resistance.......except for Switzerland.

SWitzerland had 435,000 civilians armed with rifles ready to engage in guerrila warfare had the Germans invaded..making the cost of holding territory too high for the German military...unlike every other European country where once the military was defeated, the civilians were helpless to reisist the Germans.....

And the result....millions of Jews and political enemies, and ethnic minorities were rounded up and sent to gas chambers...in Europe......except for the Swiss...they were never invaded...the price for the Germans was too high...435,000 rifle armed resistors kept the Germans out...

Anti gun loons will say..well...eventually the national socialists. Would have gotten around to the Swiss...but by then the war was over...and the rifles, in the hands of 435,000 civilians, had saved the Swiss from the gas chambers....

This is the truth and the facts and reality...and the main reason we have the Second Ammdment....

Gun grabbers are patient...they will ban rifles today, to get all guns registered tomorrow and then later they will confiscate those registered guns....

And we have seen this actually happen in Germany, Britain and Australia

This isn't pre-war Europe asshole and nobody or very, very few are for a total gun ban.

I today don't know where I stand on a ban of certain semi-automatic weapons. Only because I'm not convinced a ban will work considering how many guns are already out there. I'm on the fence, you're argument comparing this ban to pre-war Germany is not convincing. It's pathetic fear mongering and if your primary argument is working it's way to being a century old then you need a new argument.

I do know that since fully automatic weapons are few and far between compared to others, there are few crimes committed with them. I' weary of banning weapons however they don't entirely not work.

Across our border with Mexico.....the Mexican police and military constantly ally with the drug cartels and murder unarmed Mexican citizens in the 10s of thousands...they have even brought in the practice of using ovens to dispose of the bodies.....the Mexican citizens are barred by their government from having the guns they need to defend themselves....they have formed mutual defense groups called Autodefensas, in response to the attacks by Mexican police and military and their drug cartel allies....all they have are antiquated hunting rifles......they need AR-15s and other modern rifles....and they don't have them......

ethnic cleansing, genocide, and mass murder only happen to people who do not have guns...especially rifles.....look around the world to the various killing fields....they are filled with the bodies of people who did not have rifles to stop it....
