It's A Given

If the New York jury convicts Defendant Donald, it's a given his supporters will claim the election jury was rigged.

It's a given Defendant Donald will appeal.

It's a given the judge will need a lifetime of protection.

It's a given MAGA world will do their level best to dox the jurors, requiring them to need protection.

Freed from a gag order, it's a given the convict will whine about the judge, the jurors, New York, Joe Biden, the cost of golf clubs, something about clouds and snails and China and socks and roof tiles and whatever else wanders into his stream of consciousness. And, of course, the man who fomented a coup and paid off a porn star to keep her a secret from the voters will whine about election interference with no sense of self-awareness whatsoever.

But is it a given the judge will sentence the criminal to jail? Is it even a given the judge will sentence him to house arrest? If he does sentence the convict to house arrest, will it be in Trump Tower? Will the judge make allowances for campaign appearances?

I can't see Trump going to jail. He has a Secret Service detail for the rest of his life. The logistics are pretty complicated.

What say you?

If you are a Trump supporter and feel compelled in this moment to make attacks, throw red herrings, denialism, whataboutism, post links of Joe Biden falling off his bike, or whatever, don't bother.

I am asking a serious question. What do you think Trump's punishment will be if convicted?

Don’t care what Trump or Biden does, the only thing they both need to do is drop out of the Presidential race. I’d respect them for that. Neither cares enough for the country to do what is best for our country.,

You're...DUMB!
Please explain...

News Pundits don't have the legal career on the line on TV, that is in court...

We have shown for years of people like Rudi and Sidney saying things on Conservative Media and then going into court and making it very clear that they are not saying the same thing because the have no evidence...

that is you problem, you can't see the difference between propaganda and sworn testimony.

Any one can say what the fuck they like on TV, you can't when in Court or Reporting a crime to authorities...

That is why they accuse people on TV and not in an FBI office..

Just as a question...

Why wouldn't the 60 Day in facility be used like I said....

It could be part of a wider facility and it would be proper time...

All I see Trump doing while on house arrest is probing the limits of it and breaking it.. Then breaking it again and complaining thru his enablers about how unfairly treated he is...

He should become an inmate with a number... Public toilet, Public shower....

Remember Trump is not admitting he did wrong and is very likely to repeat the crime if given the chance..

There is a very dangerous view of US Justice at the moment... People around the world are see trump commit a crime in 2016, a very serious crime that very well have changed the course of an election (it was its intent) and we are now 2024 and he
I understand your frustration. He is a former president, and he will get perks normal gangsters don't.

Pretty much all of the trials against Trump are rigged. There's no way Alvin Bragg's contorted connection of expired statutes and anemic legal inferences tied together to make any kind of a web that will withstand a higher level of scrutiny. Nobody is surprised at the verdict because the verdict was decided before the trial even began. Pretty much every legal moral and standard was snubbed to torture this false verdict out of a jury that was basically held hostage. It wouldn't surprise me if several of the jurors came forward in time with complaints of having been bullied into their decision.
But no matter the verdict means nothing to anyone except to the people it meant something to before the verdict came out which is basically no change at all.

I assume it will be house arrest (given our two tiered justice system).

The question is where. NJ would allow the fat slob to play golf in warmer weather.

It’s interesting as to what restrictions would be placed on him

Trump should go to jail like Bernie Madoff. He won't need the secret service. He's a felon.

He's now barred from 37 countries.
