Yes, but the problem is, THAT 23rd district was the Bronx at the time. Not far upstate NY.

I was stuck on the number 23 and seeing all those 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s Dems.

Anyone not realizing the vast geographical differences in what was called 23 and what IS 23 now would be questioning the same way. Because technically, the seat of the 23rd District HAS been held by a Dem recently. It just wasn't the same region of the state.

This election wasn't that important. Democrats won what they needed to win but Obama was slapped down in a couple of races that he cared about.

It's good it is happening to him this time, he has a chance to get it together before the big, 2010 races. I think he should hurry tho.

The fact is, the seat which is labeled the 23rd district HAS been won by Dems recently. The region in upstate NY no matter what district number it's been hasn't elected a Dem for a Congressional seat in a hundred years, until now. But DID go blue in 2008.

Those are the facts, and they are undisputed.
