Flustered Rachel Maddow defends Russia investigation as Durham probe shifts to criminal inquiry

Zerohedge? Mad Magazine has more credible news.

Yawn! Horowitz said the FBI had proper predication to investigate regardless of the dossier. And the dossier has nothing to do with why trump has been impeached.
In a sense that's true. The impeachment was all about politics and desperation. Not about anything else.

The illegal acts by the Obama FBI are another thing.

What illegal acts by the FBI?

Already answered. Stop trolling. You know you're screwed. So do we. So stop wasting our time.

It is a serious shame what people are allowing this president to get away with.
Yeah.

All of that high employment and wage growth and sanctions on terrorists really is a shame.

Its really got Democrats pets all flustered.

You mean the GOP led Senate, are following her news?

Maddow doesn't do news. She does propaganda and lies.

She's an opinion person. Not a news reporter. Everything she says is her opinion. Nothing more.

She is a fact reporter, Hannity, Tucker, and Ingraham are opinion reporters.

Wow, if you don't see how Maddow is an editorialist, then that explains quite a bit. She is NOT non-biased. She has a premise, which is to get Trump, and she works hard to find facts that she thinks lines up with that premise. She fails to tell you facts that don't line up because that would foil her effort to influence people. A true reporter tells both sides of the story. She does not and never has done that.

Exactly. She will never broadcast exculpatory facts that contradict her stupid premises.

This is exactly what the top brass in the FBI did when spying on Trump. They had a premise and they only provided facts that supported that premise to the FISA court, intentionally(or accidently over and over and over according to Democrats) excluding facts that didn't and even going so far as to manipulating facts to their advantage. I guess all good Democrats are familiar with the routine.

She and the Senate know its a hoax and Barr works for tramp.
She is mentally unstable... obviously

So are her followers.

Yes she does, the timing can't be better, like the dumping of Podesta's emails after the Accent Hollywood video.

Who paid Wikileaks to release them??

I did.

It will be great wiping that smirk off her face again in 2020.

Trumpslide2020!

Rachel Madcow Called Out By WaPo Columnist For Shamelessly Peddling Fake News

At least some of her many fans surely came away from her broadcasts thinking the dossier was a serious piece of investigative research, not the flimflam, quick-twitch game of telephone outlined in the Horowitz report.

Conspiracy theorist and MSNBC host Rachel Madcow has been called out by Washington Post columnist Erik Wemple for breathlessly peddling the Steele Dossier - becoming a "clearinghouse" for the debunked opposition "research" funded by the Crooked Hillary campaign and the equally corrupt DNC in 2016 (and fed to the Fake News Media six weeks before the 2016 US election by the lying former British spy who wrote it).

Michael Horowitz, the DOJ Inspector General revealed how Madcow spewed Russophobic propaganda to the American public based on Steele's fabricated claims.

Horowitz absolutely shredded the dossier, writing in his report on FBI FISA abuse that

"The FBI concluded that much of the material in the Steele election reports, including allegations about Donald Trump and members of the Trump campaign relied upon in the Carter Page FISA applications, could not be corroborated; that certain allegations were inaccurate or inconsistent with information gathered by the Crossfire Hurricane team."

Madcow began using the dossier to smear Trump in March of 2017 - when both Fake News CNN and the Fake News New Yorker falsely claimed that US authorities had loosely confirmed 'some of the details' from the dossier. An emboldened Madcow claimed that while the "baseline" dossier claim that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election had yet to be proven,

"all the supporting details are checking out, even the really outrageous ones. A lot of them are starting to bear out under scrutiny. It seems like a new one each passing day."

Based on the conclusions reached by both the FBI and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Madcow was peddling conspiracy theories.

"When small bits of news arose in favor of the dossier, the franchise MSNBC host pumped air into them," writes Wemple. "At least some of her many fans surely came away from her broadcasts thinking the dossier was a serious piece of investigative research, not the flimflam, quick-twitch game of telephone outlined in the Horowitz report."

"She seemed to be rooting for the document."
In April, Madcow ignored that the Mueller report debunked the dossier's key allegation a literal conspiracy theory - namely that the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 US election. Instead, the Fake News MSNBC host grasped at straws - trying to suggest various claims in the dossier were corroborated.

Several days after the Mueller report emerged, Madcow addressed not the dissonance between Mueller and the dossier, but a point of possible corroboration. In perhaps its most famous allegation, the dossier claimed that Trump had rented a suite at the Ritz Carlton in Moscow and “employed” prostitutes to perform a perverted ritual for him. It suggested that there were tapes of the show, the better to amass kompromat against Trump.

When Horowitz published his report's comprehensive dressdown of the dossier, there was no mea culpa from Madcow.

I will continue to think most of the Dossier was correct as evidence by the Mueller report, and Mueller said he couldn't exonerate tramp. The Dossier has not been unproven, and all you right wingers hope it was, but it is not.

Here is what Trump did wrong:

You have been proven wrong again and again. Do you have a mental disorder to not be able to see it? You spent three years conducting a witch hunt against a democratically elected president, accomplishing nothing for the people. What did that lead to in the UK... the consequences of your incompetent rage is what you should have thought about first. If only were you not so smug that you were able to do that.

And Carter Page wasn't a Russian Spy coordinating with the Trump Campaign. It was all and always was nothing but a pack of lies. It had completely collapsed before the election. The FBI corroborated NONE of the facts that would support spy warrants, and every bit of evidence they did manage to turn up, exonerated the Trump campaign, yet this corrupt blizzard of lies backed by the Fake News Media was reported as fact for 3 years. You folks should be ashamed of yourselves.

And the blizzard of lies, all sourced to "former and current Administration officials". Who were these lying sacks of crap? And why are the Fake News Media not angry at being duped for 3 years?

You are welcome to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny as well. The Dossier was faked up purchased pile of disinformation misrepresented to the FISA court by the Corrupt FBI as verified, when it was no such thing. What was verified was that it was false on the critical points.

We are presumed innocent. We need no exoneration from a two bit hack faker like Dirty Bob Mueller who was completely unfamiliar with the facts and the report that carried his name. What a doddering old fool. He perpetuated a fraud on the American People. Letting the Fake News Media run continuously with the lies that our President was under the control of Putin, when everyone involved in the investigation knew this was a pack of lies.

It's beyond belief what we have all been subjected to. I'm counting on Barr an Durham to hold these folks to account.

Who exactly did you think every AG's boss is?
The Constitution of the United States is the AG's boss. The AG (before Barr) was an independent agency upholding the law of the land as defined by that Constitution. The Ag is appointed by the President and approved by Congress but is not a member of the exec staff.
You got distracted because that shyster Barr spends more time making excuses for breaking the Constitution than upholding it and traveling around the world looking for dirt on American institutions in an effort to render them impotent to fight Presidential corruption while looking for reasons to indict perceived Presidential critics at Presidential whim-of-the-day.

Sucker!

There are no agencies in the Executive Branch that are independent of the President chosen by The Presidential Electorate. The Executive Power of the United States Government is vested into The President.

The executive Power shall be vested in the President of the United States of America.

Hopefully Barr and Durham will be able to bring indictments against the lying frauds that illegally spied on Americans.

WTF? How is being the president's "wingman" synonymous with your quote: "The AG (before Barr) was an independent agency upholding the law of the land as defined by that Constitution."?

WTF? How is being the president's "wingman" synonymous with your quote: "The AG (before Barr) was an independent agency upholding the law of the land as defined by that Constitution."?
Silly nonsense. NO Agency in the Executive Branch is "independent" of the President. Contemptible Eric "The With" Holder, even describe himself as Obama's Wing-man.

Obama didn't just spy on Trump.

“More than all past presidents, Obama uses 1917 Espionage Act to go after reporters.”

Congress was responding to incidents of German espionage before the declaration of war. In July 1916, German agents blew up the Black Tom munitions dump in New York Harbor. The explosion was loud enough to be heard from Connecticut to Maryland.

The Espionage Act was passed with bipartisan support in a Democratic Congress and strongly supported by Democratic President Woodrow Wilson.

Wilson wanted even more. "Authority to exercise censorship over the press is absolutely necessary," he wrote a senator. He got that authority in May 1918 when Congress passed the Sedition Act criminalizing, among other things, "abusive language" about the government.

Wilson's Justice Department successfully prosecuted Eugene Debs, the Socialist candidate who received 900,000 votes for president in 1912, for making statements opposing the war.

The Wilson administration barred socialist newspapers from the mails, jailed a filmmaker for making a movie about the Revolutionary War (don't rile our British allies) and prosecuted a minister who claimed Jesus was a pacifist.

German-language books were removed from libraries, German-language newspapers forced out of business and one state banned speaking German outdoors.

It was an ugly period in our history. It's also a reminder that big government liberals can be as much inclined to suppress civil liberties as small government conservatives -- or more so.

How very true!

In the New York Post, Michael Walsh asks, how does Eric Holder, Obama's alter-ego, survive his innumerable scandals?
