Favorite Monster

The only monster movie I've ever seen that I didn't reject as being utterly absurd is the original, The Thing, which I believe dates back to the 50s. There is something I find just so credible about that supposed creature from another world who crash-lands on Earth that is truly scary. I've seen that movie many times and I always enjoy it.

There is a more recent re-make of The Thing which, for me, is a total disappointment. Another incredible "monster."
