I'm going with Pinhead and the cenobites from the Hellraiser series.

There's something about formerly human creatures with intelligence returning to collect human souls. Also.. you can't really beat those hooks, flesh ripping gore and the cold calculating indifference.

I have a new monster that I love for this halloween. They are called the burrowers. They live underground, the eat humans and they can only be killed by the sun like the vamps. Saw the movie last night and really liked it. I love western horror films.

Werewolves circa "An American Werewolf in London" although "Underworld" had some good ones. Other then that HR Giger's Alien from the first and third installments. Most Japanese animation has really nifty monsters as well.
